The Dr. really does feel that he is getting close to a cure. One of his current patients progress on a additional procedure he has introduced, has brought down the sound of his tinnitus in less than a month.

And, the patient continues to do better, as he proceeds on.

Well I hope you don't get migraines as I do because if you do you are ruled out from being in a study on TMS and the doctor told me if this is a potential "cure" if you get migraines they probably won't treat you.

I am sorry sue for the mirgranes, maybe someone will treat you anyway, I do not get the relationship???? Why does it matter if you have mirgranes? Did I miss something???

I don't know Sandy, it was just on the list of disqualifiers (is that a word?) as far as the study went. It was just this doctor's guess that if the treatment ends up working, if you get migraines some may not feel comfortable giving you the TMS treatment.

I see, maybe just get a second opinion, just in case there is a way?

Guys, from the patients we have talked to, the tapping sound from the TMS treatments, does not bother you, after the first week.

It is really nothing to be concerned with.

This is a break through therapy. As I keep getting updates form their office, I will keep you guys posted.

What do you what to know ?

I doubt TMS will fix T. It has been around for a few years now and if it was as revolutionary in curing T as it is sometimes claimed to be, it would be offered everywhere or we would at least know more about it. There are millions of people with T, how come the positive studies on this only test 10 or 20 people. Seems a little odd.

To be fair, while many have T it seems only a handful are driven practically mad from it.

You are right about what you are saying. Just lately are they starting to some positive things with TMS.

But they are inconsistent. So, TMS has a ways to go until it becomes a guarantee type treatment.

The cost is astronomical, and no money back if it does not work on you.

Do you think that the TMS therapy holds promise for potential treatments for people who suffer from moderate level tinnitus, or does it seem only effective in potential reduction of severe tinnitus?

Also - in your opinion, what sets Dr. Stubbeman apart to the extent that he may be pioneering a new type of treatment for tinnitus? As some people have mentioned so far, TMS has been around for a while, but it hasn't been documented as an effective treatment for tinnitus by researchers, doctors, etc, as of yet.

Lastly - do you know approximately how many patients were successfully treated by this doctor using this therapy?

Dr Langguth's from Germany is the pioneer behind it. But he is using grant money through the Universitym so he can only do clinical trials.

Dr. Stubberman leads the field as th only Dr. that has a 3 to 5 therapy program that using navagation to pin point exactly where the Tinnitus is, and then monitors the intensity of the tinnitus with EEG. You also need to get and MRI to start off.

10 patients have been done. I can't tell you for certain how many of those patients benefited from TMS. We know two of them that has talked about their experience, and said that thei tinnitus does not bother them anymore.

Sorry that was 3 to 5 months of therapy treatment.
