My T is a 7, and it pretty stays that way.

I had considered this treatment at one time. The cost where I looked was around 4000.00 which I could have paid at the time. However, the more I explored and pushed for answers as to the success I could expect the vaguer the answers got. I got the impression that I may expect some improvement however it would not be long term i.e. I would continue to need more treatments indefinately. This did not sound anymore promising than the miracle products offered online. And as there is no known CURE for tinnitus I took a pass. And to the best of my knowledge this is not touted as a cure either. That said I do wish you all the luck and please keep us updated as you progress with your treatment.

DANIEL, I don't know how you are getting the "discounted rate".
My dad lives in San Diego at the moment and he has communicated with Dr.Stubberman's office. He has been informed of NO SUCH discounted rate! Do we have to speak to Dr.Stubberman directly to get the so called discounted rate? I mean his office should be aware of this, if it exists.
I was very embarrased to tell my dad misinformation.
If there is a unadvertised discounted rate, please let us know how you obtained it.

San Diego already gave me a price for 25 treatmnets $5400

St Stubberman and RayA know this. They have only done 8 patients.

They need subjects like ourselves to get FDA approvl, so they need hundreds of clinincal trials so they can get insurance to cover their patients.

I told you that if you are willing to wait 6 months, they will put you on a waiting list, and work you in between your usual patients.

Just relax, and let me get the baLL ROLLING OVER THERE.

I've contacted everyone in Virginia who does TMS, sounds like the difference Dr. Stubbeman has devised has to do with his 'neuronavigation' techniques, which seems to involve another very expensive piece of equipment - SMRI?..

Wow, wish I lived in CA. If this works I'd set up camp out there with my buddies if I could possibly work it out.
Bob's Dream asked why more people aren't to jump on this - 'is it just the money;" - well yeah, out of possible range for many of us.
Of course, but what price does one put on possible peace??? Looking at that for myself..

So everyone please applaud Daniel for helping us all out by going ahead and taking the plunge, paying the price, making progress by which sooner or later, insurance companies may help out.

So seems like TMS is just now FDA approved for depression. Dr. Stubbeman is taking it another step further from what I understand. It's cutting edge seems like, and that's expensive.

But with the V.A. paying 1 billion/ year in disability to veterans with T being the #1 complaint, things will start speeding up, prices will go down. I'm just thankful to anyone who's really working on this.

Look I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I just want to get on the waiting list! When my dad called, Raya said there is no waiting list or discount.
So just let me (us) know how to get on board with this...get the ball rolling on this.

Danny, I think what happen was, that they got to many people on the waiting list for the discounted price.

So she is turning people down, until they get the people treated that are on the waiting list.

The bottom line is that very few people are willing to pay $30,000 if they have only treated 7 to 8 patients.

When I go in there I will do my best to try and get them to open this thing up, so everybody can have the opportunity to get treated at a reasonable price.

It sounds like it may be a risk that it may not be permanent. And the cost seems very high for most.

I pray it will work for you, please let us know of your progress.

So I talked with Dr. Stubbeman yesterday - a 45 minute call that was supposed to be only 15 - he was very willing to get into things and gave lots of good info on this.

My first/main question was, for someone like me - 58 yrs old, professional musician whole life (= lots of noise), 16 years constant T, does this make the TMS less likely to work.
His answer was that the protocol should work, but could take longer, up to the maximum - 12 weeks of treatment, 8 weeks taper off treatment.
So then, ok , what are we looking like in $'s - and added up to nearly 90 grand. OUUCH.

Seems like the discounted price offer has gotten out of hand, so great for you Daniel for getting in on it!

He did say that 1 month of treatment would tell us if it's going to work for me or not, so 20 grand to find out.

I was however impressed, and more or less convinced this could work. And he's the only person sounds like that is doing it the way he is - using EEG to constantly monitor what's going on while TMSing - allowing him to really pinpoint where in the brain he needs to work.
So seems like otherwise, TMS would be a shot in the dark, likely not to work.

Pretty bummed about how out of reach this is for me, both moneywise and logistics wise - needing to stay in LA up to 5 months.
So I'll hang in and see what happens in the next couple years.

Come on DOD - put those $s into this, you're spending 1Billion/yr. on disability.

Thanks for sharing Bobby. It's nice when you have a doctor that is actually willing to talk and explan as that's so rare. Too bad it's so $$$ and far away. At this point you'd have to live near LA it seems.

I hope something will come along that is more in the reach of us average people. I am sorry it did it work out. I know something is out there some where. :-)
