Maybe there is another ray of hope. Check out this link where a man had experimental surgery and had electodes implanted in his brain to cure

For as many years as I have been been around Tinnitus.

Hearing aids, do help in masking Tinnitus

But using TRT by itself, or built into the hearing aids, is the best way, to help lower yout Tinnitus.

I been through it all guys.

amazing, but scary, this guys tinnitus must have been a 10/10 for him to agree having his brains opened

Dear tcurechaser:
My procedure really wasn't Deep Brain Stimulation. Nothing ever touched my brain, and the surgery only lifted a piece of bone long enough to place two tiny electrodes on the dura.
I don't want anyone to be afraid of this procedure in case it returns (and I really think it will).

Dr. De Ridder is moving from Belgium to New Zealand in February. He will be working at a new hospital. Just found out today, so if anyone was hoping he was going to be in Europe for follow ups or appointments, they can think twice or travel ALL the way to New Zealand. Not good for Europeans or Americans.

New Zealand... eh, paradise not affected by economical, political, social or any other turbulence I can think of. Well deserved for him, I'd do the same thing on his place. But very unfortunate for us, as his work is pioneering and not adopted widely, and not going to be from such remote location imo.
