A place where we can "do life" together, or at least talk about it. You won't be told "that is off topic" here. Share experiences, get advice, be silly, be sad, be supportive. (Try to say: share, silly, sad, supportive, 20 times without slobbering, if not, you are in! lol either way your "in") Let's just be whatever we are at the moment, and be "in" touch with...
I'm not sure anyone even remembers me anymore. But I just need to talk. Things have gone from bad to worse. I buried both parents, watched my mom take her last breath. I buried my youngest brother, that just about killed me. I buried my best friend . My job that I had for 26 years was eliminated. I had a rare stage 3 cancer that caused excruciating pain for a year and a half because doctors kept misdiagnosing me. Had to put the most beautiful gentle cat to sleep. And 6 days ago, my husband of 31 years walked out. To say I am a mess is a complete understatement. This has made me physically ill. I go from crying to angry in 30 seconds. His family is all intact. He is living with his parents, hanging out with his brother and his brother's family. And I am sitting here alone. I do have a surviving brother but he and my husband are best friends and I'm smart enough to know whose side he will take. I am going back to work on Monday, to a job I did not want but I took because he carried on about how I need to get out of the house. I do get out of the house. Once a month I attend a program at the library. Every Thursday is piano lessons. Twice a month is breakfast with a friend. Once a month is lunch with friends. I attend a depression support group once a month, and a cancer support group once or twice a month. I go to church every Sunday and the brunch. I drive a friend to appointments. She and I do occasional crafts shows. But I took a job to make him happy. I will have to give some things up. My office is a closet with 2 desks because I will be sharing it. There are no windows and no AC. I am a diabetic who overheats and has been known to faint. How is this job supposed to help? And he has some nerve, carrying on about taking it and now I get to come home to an empty house in the first day with no one to even share my day with. Then he had the nerve to complain that I was still grieving. How can anyone be so devoid of empathy? I'll be grieving forever. I expected to out live my parents , but I never expected to lose my brother so young. I was his favorite person. He told me every night when he called that he loved me. No one tells me that anymore. My husband told me he won't allow me to keep the house.... that we would sell it first. We've been here 26 years. This is my safe place. I'm so scared, depressed, unhappy, angry. I can't think straight.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

I'm going to check my DS settings again. Seems I get them when people post in some threads, but not others? Strange. Maybe since the update, we have had to go in and change all of our settings again. I thought I did that.
Take care of yourself. Keep reaching out to friends.
Hugs <3
And everyone else.
I almost never come on to DS but was wondering how my old DS friends were doing.
Diane, how are you? You've been through so much! You are strong! Reach out to God. He will replenish your inner strength. I"? Gonna send you a message.
