I am not sure whether to laugh about this story or just to be angry, but this is the most novel excuse I have ever seen for a sex crime. This trial took place in the UK.
The incredible aspect is that the jury was in deliberations for only 30 minutes. Surely there has to be more to this story, as no jury would ever buy his excuse.
"During the trial, Judge Martin Griffiths permitted the rare step of allowing 20 minutes of Mr Abdulaziz's evidence to be heard in private."

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

No problem, right?
Yeah, I think that there's got to be much more to the story. But what's reported is sure disturbing.
I agree with both of you that there's a lot more to this story. I would much prefer to give this person a taste of his own medicine. Just because he has "money" and "influence through money" and "potential to do power play" does NOT give him a right to submit evidence in private. Ugh.
