I so get feeling emotional about your baby going off to college. My son just left to start his senior year, and it was no easier than the first time he left.
Take good care of yourself, and try to pace yourself with the move, if you can.
Hugs to all. xx
We've been out twice this morning and Rocco is doing a good job. I might have to get a professional trainer for some basic command stuff. I use the word "outside". He knows what I mean, but doesn't go to the door. Also, when I whistle for him he'll come to me if he wants to. I am enjoying him and I am fortunate to have time to spend with him.
Yesterday was the first day that I was able to handle the pain with a relatively low number since the surgery and med change.....big breakthrough for me.
I see some had decent days yesterday. Tink, good to see you back. Take it easy on yourself.
Hugs,
David.
I am dealing with pain from a trip to the beach last night... swimming, bonfire, lots of fun but I pay for it. That's the price of enjoying a beautiful day, which we haven't had many this summer. Possibly going camping today so gotta psyche up, take my meds and hope for the best. Can't let possibly the only nice weekend of the whole summer go to waste. I know I'll recover so I'm not too worried. I've dealt with worse pain for less fun.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Hugs and peace,
Lisa
today is gonna be a scorcher so i got the pool and slip 'n slid set up yesterday. Its gonna be a pool day with the kids here. And the best part is my porch is in the shade all day so i wont get sick from the sun
whats everyone else up to toay?
I'm not as tip top as I would like to be today so I wont say much...(sighs of relief in the audience...)
Hugs and loves to you all my friends...you bless my heart and my days with your presence.
Ray glad you are out of your flare and have a mini vacay all to yourself.
Tink I am glad you are packed but sorry for your pain. I am sending out
positive thoughts for you and your daughter that you can enjoy the rest of
this time together.Cinnamon I was happy to see your Good News Friday post
I hope it carries into this weekend.
Superduck I hope you are back to tip top real soon.
David I know our puppies act like they don't know when they don't want
to do something. Sounds like Rocco is doing a good job with potty training.
Good to hear you can bring the levels down..
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and take care everyone!

I've been up and down all day. I started with the usual pain upon waking then got it down to a dull roar for work. Of course, my neck, shoulder and upperback hurt terribly after that and my legs and feet have joined in!
I managed to rally to make a French apple pie later in the afternoon. My boarder spent the day helping my sister scrape and paint her shed so I thought he deserved a pie. He loved it so it's all good.
I'm not feeling very comfortable on the main board and would love to get to know some of the members here, who we seldom hear from.
I hope everyone is finding moments of joy and comfort this weekend.
Hugs,
Cherry
David, thanks so much for these threads, you rock! And Rocco is just the cutest little guy!
Duckie, hope you're feeling a little better by now. Please take care of yourself.
Nealy, I had to chuckle about buying the vacuum and not normally buying things for yourself. Why is it we always think of things like vacuums as stuff for us? I remember one time in Germany we needed a new microwave, our old one from the states just wouldn't work. My husband went out and bought one, he was so proud of himself and told my girlfriend he got me a microwave for my birthday. I thought she was going to beat him! All 5 ft of her! Needless to say "WE" got a microwave and I got a beautiful crystal castle for my birthday.
Ray, were you playing on the slip n slide today?
Lisa glad you got to enjoy the beach yesterday, sometimes you just have to say what the heck!
Tink please take it easy with the packing and moving, that will kick your butt and quick!
Cinnamon liked your post about the Good News Friday, hope everything works out.
Hippy, hope you're doing well this evening.
Jae, hope the trip goes well and brings you as little pain as possible. And yes, I agree, laughter is a wonderful thing.
Hope I didn't miss anyone, special shout out to Tipper, sorry you're going through so much crap with the insurance company and hope everything gets straightened out next week.
Hugs to everyone, have a good weekend! Elf
Jaeann you seem to be fitting in fabulously! Hugs
I seem to be getting down in the body more and more and that means the arms. I'm going to have to shorten my typing roomies :( Know that I wish the best for all of you and you better know that by now! I hope everyone gets to feeling well and it's great to see so many on here.
Hugs to everyone,
Toni
@ Elf - it IS funny that when it comes to things for the house, they're for ME, even though Hubby's done all the vacuuming lately.LOL We shop so little, try to make do and be happy w/ what we have. Thank goodness neither of us are very materialistic. Not to say we wouldn't welcome a little more income. LOL
Hi Jaeann, we haven't "talked" before but am so glad you're here!!
Up at 3:30 this morning. Took my pain med and feeling a little better. Went to Farmers Market and Library yesterday morning. Then cooked my good, fresh veggies (squash and black eyed peas) along w/ Ducky's Crock Pot dish (used beef instead of Pork this time). That pretty much did me in. But it was gooooood!
Going to a birthday party today and it is a long drive so I hope I will make it. I made some cupcakes my favorite cherry chip and banana are my favorite flavors.
Hope everyone has a low pain day
I had such wonderful dreams about meeting all of you, giving you big fluffy hugs. I had an RV like Nealy wants and I just criss crossed the lands.....with my Duckie Stroller in tow. I went to Vermont for the beautiful foliage and ate Cherry Chip Cupcakes with Manny. I partied my duck butt off in FL with Millie and cruised on up to see Hippy. I stayed some time with Irocket and hung out with the dogs and Jan came up too. I left her and headed over to see Kansass. Then...up and around and back again to catch everyone.....
I had my little doggie people with me and I brought my little duck. She and I enjoyed a road trip as the boy had left for the service... It was a pretty cool dream!
I hope you are surrounded by joy, laughter and love today. Ihope you have someone to hug you, deep and long and supportively. I hope you enjoy some smiles today and are able to enjoy some quiet moments.
I am trying to hide from the 95 degree heat...which sucks more than I can describe.
HUGS to you!!!
