To say Debra I will be sending positive thoughts out for you son and DIL. I know how that goes. We are helping one son temporarily.
Autumn I will send positive thoughts your way for a let up on pain and that you will be comfortable watching your daughter dance. You are a good mom. Wonder what they
would say if you brought one of the anti-gravity chairs with you. You know Tipper calls them relax a back chairs.
Huggles to you both as well
Hippy...I sure know the feeling of just waiting to be able to take the pain meds. Sucks, right? I sure hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for asking about me. My GI issues continue. Will be calling the gastro doc again tomorrow. I have done lots of reading and have some ideas for him to consider...I am sure he will be just thrilled! (NOT!)
Knees are still attached, but painful.:(
Hugs all around.
Grandpa I'm sorry mowing didn't work out for you, but glad that you're feeling better enough that you thought you were ready for it! You're getting closer!
RayRay what's causing your nausea? Try half a teaspoon of baking soda with a half glass of water. You might have to do this 2-3 times a day, but it won't mess with any of your meds.
Jan what's going on you were feeling fine the other day? Get to feeling better sweets.
Cinnamon I hope things are quieting down for you. Hugs to you and your daughter.
Autumn I'm so glad that you are feeling more like being on here and you are healing more and more.
Cherry sure hope you get to feeling better, just keep that humor going that has to help!
Debra I hope all goes well for your family, lots of thoughts and prayers.
Hippy get lots of rest! When your neck hurts it helps alot to get the pressure off of it, by laying down. Take care of yourself please. :)
Suzie put You first! Take care of you. Hugs
Jim and I got news today. His uroligist called him in today and said he had old cysts on his liver that weren't a problem, it wasn't his kidney that showed something it was his adrenal gland and it's damaged from meds, surgeries etc..., this is good news. We've been so afraid that it was cancer. He did schedule him for one day laser surgery for his swollen prostate. This will bring him much relief. The recovery time is suppose to be just a few days, this is amazing. Anyone knows someone with this problem PM me and I'll give them the info on it.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers, I do believe they have helped bunches,
Toni
To all those that did not comment on here. I hope you are feeling well and come on join in. The more the merrier.
Toni, I'm glad the news you got was better than you may have thought. Still I'll Pray for you both. Rocco is barking at me. I have to put the keyboard on my lap so he can chew on it while I write. He's 4 pounds now!!!
I'm doing OK today. I am watching out for car doors and stuff like that(lol).
I hope everyone has a good day. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hugs,
David.
I call my PM Doc's this AM since I was mad and sad that no one from his office called me to give me an update about my surgery on Monday (pain pump). I spoke to his office manager, that is a lovely Colombian lady, and she told me that they had not receive an approval from my insurance as of yet, and that she was going to call them again, and is going to have Dr.V called again, and trust me, he is not nice when it comes to insurance companies, he has seen WAY too many of his patients suffer due to insurance, and he will not take their crap! So I am hopeful, and please every one pray, or give the higher power of your choice, that I get some good news today. I hope that I can make it until Monday, but if not, I know where to go.
I feel so much better today as yesterday was a day from hell it is weird not being able to go to the bathroom could cause a day of complete down time. I finally took three exlax and three suppositories and some milk of magnesia and finally at the end of the day I went and it was not pretty as you can imagine.
Well enough of the gross stuff I forget sometimes that nobody wants to hear it but I do think that it is more then just constipation I think I may have something really wrong and need a doctor to rule out some things.
Just doing some cleaning today and going to the craft store that will be my prize for cleaning up the house.
Hope everyone has a good day
Tipper, I wish I could bring you some home made soup and visit with you. I'm hoping and praying that the insurance company gets their head out of their butt...soon!
I start PT at noon today....again. I'm going into it with a different attitude this time. I don't expect them to fix anything...just show me how to move and stretch to increase strength and loosen the tight muscles.
Hugs to everyone,
Cherry
The PM doc has me on Lactulose, for constipation. I take it every day and it keeps the plummin' hummin'.
My PM is trying to cut me back off of the narcs, but the pain is still pretty bad at times. I will see him in a couple of weeks and talk about it. The SCS has eliminated the stabbing and shooting pains, but the muscle spasms are killing me. Maybe we'll talk about massage therapy or something?
I am so grateful for friends like ya'll. Please let's share with each other. Those who don't want to post, but want to talk send me a message. Until I let others in my world was very small and lonely.
Come on in!!
Hugs,
David.
autum sorry you gotta miss your nap today! i feel ya
david thanks for keeping us posted on this whole ordeal your goind thru. i wish you the very best
irocket- i have NO idea why i'm so barfy, thank you for the bakeing soda idea and thanks for letting me know it wont mess with my meds. I think maybe the heat is getting to me this year. It hasn't even been that hot mid 70's and low 80's and i'm still dyin.
tipper- you deserve a beak you really do
deb - i'm keeping your daughter in my thoughts. My hubbys contract just ended so we are between jobs right now and my docs still think i need to get a few more things taken care of before i go back to work (get down to my mainetence dose of presdisone and see how i feel, get un nausuias so i can show up to work ect) i feel ya! we poor! ha ha
@Manny..Sounds like a hellish day you had. Like David, I use lactulose for occasional plumbing issues. It works well, within the same day (or overnight, depending on when you take it).
@Tipper.. I hope the insurance hurries up and approves your surgery. Please keep us posted, ok?
@RayRay...Hope the nausea has eased a bit.
@ David...Please post new pics of Rocco! He is too cute, and just makes me smile! I am glad you are doing ok, and have no lasting effects from the dam car door!
As for me, I am still suffering with GI issues. Being off of the antibiotic hasn't made a huge difference, and now I've started with some pretty bad pain in my right upper belly. No gall bladder anymore, so just not sure what the heck is going on, but I'm sure it is related to the other issues. I am getting really tired of it all.
My daughter goes for her post op check tomorrow, and I'm hoping she will be cleared to do sports and to shower. Fingers crossed.
Thank you all so much for your continued love, support, hugs and messages!
I know I say this a lot, but I so love this group! :)
I've been hurting a lot all afternoon and took an extra med...didn't work. I need to stop sounding whiney and remember what Tipper is going through. Extra prayers are needed for her!
Hugs to all,
Cherry
For those that are doing well and getting good news, I'm so happy for you. We all need a break once in a while.
Ok, on to me. Work has been insane lately! While I'm used to working with folks all over the country there are some on our team that I just want to throttle some days. Had one driving me totally bonkers the other day, told her I've done what I can do, this baby is in your lap now and you need to finish the job. I don't want to play anymore, I have an appointment I need to go to, see ya! Got to my appointment and when they took my blood pressure it was crazy high, I've never seen it that high. Told my boss the next day these people back at the Head Shed need to get their stuff together because they are just driving me crazy. Of course that's just preaching to the choir since he's in the same boat as me.
Hubby is working way too many hours on to little sleep. Can't fault him, he's bringing troops home to their families and that's a most wonderful thing. Just wish he would slow down a little. Good thing is it should only be for another week or so.
Had some new meds added to help deal with the neuropathy that seems to be developing in my feet. First they added Cymbalta and Metanx, couldn't deal with the Cymbalta, made me too groggy, have enough issues with sleep as it is, don't need to add to that. Plus I developed a rash while using it, guess I'm allergic. Stopped using it, rash started to clear up, tried taking it again and rash came back in full force. Now they are starting me on Desipramine. Not sure I like the idea of the anti-depressant and the fact that you can't just take the 25 mg, you have to ramp it up. I guess we'll see.
Ok, everyone have a good night, hopefully with little or no pain. Elf
I hope everyone is doing better..
Love and hugs!
Deb
