As for me, I have been soooo busy trying to get the last of my kids ready to go back to school. Between that, and dragging her to cheerleading practice and back, laundry, making dinner, etc...there is little time for much else.
The new meds for my tummy are working very well *knocks wood* and I feel better. My knees, however, are killing me, simply from overuse. I think tomorrow is gonna be a down day, as EVERYONE will be gone for the day..even the dogs! (bath day) I plan to sit on my butt and do very little!
Sending hugs to you all. xxxxxx
The leaves changing from green to gold, then blazing reds and oranges. The cool crisp morning air giving way to a comfortable afternoon w/ just a cozy sweater. Columns of smoke rolling out of chimneys and the smell of wood stoves as the nights grow cooler. Pumpkins and butter squash.
What I will not look forward to: Winter. LOL
My trip with D-in-law to Dr. went well (some of you may remember she recently had surgery for mouth cancer). Her doc is amazed at how well she is recovering and told her right now, she is cancer-free and that he expects in 5 yrs to tell her she's cured. She does, however, have pre-cancerous cells and he is going to monitor her closely. I must admit, after the 5 hr trip, I was down that evening and all the next day.
I'm disappointed that my Tx. has not yet helped my pain levels but I'm not going to give up hope yet. Still waiting for results from my blood work but that will be a constant for the next six months.
I hope you all are having some good days either free from pain or in spite of the pain.
@Ray-Ray - I can't say (don't want to be actually vulgar LOL) what I read when I saw the title of the movie you were watching the other night but let me just say when I first read it, it didn't look PG and I had to read again. Then I LMAO!!!
I'm so glad to see some new "faces" on here. Keep it coming!!.
LOL @ nealtly! i can see that ha ha
autnumn- i feel for you, poor hubby and 3 crying girls! I can picture it and theres some humor too it when your not smack dab in the middle of it. Keep use posted on your back. I don't like that show either but the kids love it.I like the shows with educational value like super why, seasme street, word world ect I don't care for the show that don't teach anything HATE SPONG BOB!!!
irocket- yes he goes outta town when i have an appoint and then if i get any of his proxy's besides this one guy they wont write my pain med rx's. LAME! only one proxy dose cause his mom has chronic pain!
today i'm just cleaning the house and watching the kids. around 7pm i'm going over to a friends house to watch our show. I do that once a week.
not alot going on here today just the kids going nuts
Let's see, I took Joy to the doc and she has a virus that apperently I have the starting symptoms of. I truly feel like hell right now and the kids are starting to show the signs too. We're struggling to try to all be well by Sunday when we have big plans for the weekend.
I dropped off my denial letter from disability with all my scribling and disagrements listed for my lawyer.
I'm trying out a new service for the computer that opperates over radio waves instead of the satalite dish and it seems to be working great. Maybe I'll have less problems now, I can hope anyway.
Now everyone is just kind of laying around feeling crappy.
Wheeeeeeee! Should be a quality evening at the Kansass house.
Ray glad you are feeling a bit better. Super that you will volunteer at school. Parents make a big difference.
I have done that several times and actually did it at the school at our church. I just did stuff for the teachers but I know any help is appreciated.
Autumn I know you know how important it is on your patch. I am sorry you experienced that. Sounds almost like you skipped one whole patch altogether. Glad the girls are ready for school. Hope both adjust well to the new schools.
Cinnamon great on the new medicine helping your stomach. That is a blessing. Hopefully with school starting you will get some rest for your knees. My DIL was just here and she told me her knee problem is because her hips are out of alignment. This is per chiropractor. Never heard of such. She hasn't been able to run which was her main workout.
Nealy the good report on your DIl is awesome. I hope you take it real easy. I wish you were experiencing more pain relief. Do they tell you when? Do you ever get to talk to others in the test group to see how they are doing? The waiting game is not easy. Focus on fall. It will be here soon.
Toni you are in my thoughts. I can't imagine how you must feel. I hope Jim is doing ok. You didn't say how long at hospital. Maybe nurse will take pity on you and send you down to ER. I don't see how you do it. Hmmmm
I think there is a movie "I don't see how she does it" Sarah Jessica Parker.
Lisa I am sorry you are faced with so many choices right now. It is always hard going back to a job you have been away from for awhile. Once while working I had to be off six weeks. I had short term disability but I could still do things at home. It helped me stay in touch and connected. I realize yours has been longer and that you can't work right now. You can always make a change if you decide you don't want to or can't go back there.
I had a good day today. For that i am grateful.
Wishing everyone less pain and more joy.
Thinking of everyone and if I missed someone I am sorry.
Love you Pauli
Blessings to you all.
Anne
p.s. Eif1 I am in love with your kitty!!! (screen pic)
Peace to all.
It is almost 2;30 am and I am still up. Tried going to bed at 12:30 but couldn't sleep. I've had terrible nerve pain in my foot all night; pins and needles, freezing cold, then toes burning like fire. That's besides the usual pain, This week has just been rotten. I felt great this morning, guess that's the problem. I felt good so I overdid it but I haven't had this pain in my foot and the 'ice block' feeling in a long time.
Sure hope others are sleeping sound, hugs,
Lisa
Woke up about an hour ago. Fixin' to get cleaned up to take Rocco to the vet for his last shot he needs before grooming and training. We thought that we had them all last week, but there was one more he needs. Then I go to the PM this afternoon. We definitely need to talk about this, what I interpret as muscle pain. Anyway it will be a busy day.
It's great to have friends here who can depend on each other for support. You are all in my heart.
Hugs,
David.
Elf I do it all the time......the disappearing act on a post. I have new laptop. Love it but it is so easy to hit a button and loose something. Good to hear you voice. I have always loved your kitty. Looks just like our George who passed over last year.
Cherry hope you get some response from the clinic.
Toni you and Jim are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs to all
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Jim is doing great after his surgery. He was out of there after 2 hrs!
I'm having problems with my computer after my last update! errrr. It won't let me do anything from my homepage I found a way to get on here though and tell you all to hang in there. It seems everyone is having a lot going and I'm here with you in every way possible!
Just wish I could hug all of your necks!
Try to have a good day in spite of it all,
Many blessings to all,
Toni
