1st time I smoked from when I was 14 until I was 30 I think it was easier then because that’s when me and my husband started to try to have kids and I knew that would be bad for the baby while pregnant.
Than last January I had quit finally after the 2nd time after a year and 3 months it was a struggle.
You have to find the motivation to wanna quit and incentive for me I was tired of always having to go outside and as my husband was never a smoker I was always worried for when I’d go to kiss him especially sometimes outve the blue he would be grossed out.
Then spending $70.00 a week on cigarettes that was money I could be using towards better things or things really needed. I’ve saved over $4000.00 since I quit and I like how it keeps adding up.
I have quit before. I've been cutting down. Today I smoked 4.
Have picked a quit date-it's a month away.
You just have to remember the 1st couple of weeks or the 1st month is the hardest and as it gets easier the longer you go.
But there are going to be times when you walk by someone smoking the smell is going to tempt you at times or when your stressed.
I personally wish cigarettes were healthy and honestly wish I come be the occasional person who could smoke a cigarette and not want one for a long time but what you put in front of me will make me wanna smoke more.
What’s easier I find is no one smokes indoors no more and how there’s no longer the smoking or non smoking sections because it’s all non smoking and even outside at events there’s the designated smoking areas or there’s no smoking at the event.
I don't remember where I read about this info but replacing your urges with exercising can help subside the feeling of wanting to smoke. I'm going to try it out myself and see if that works and maybe you guys can as well.
Any tips or tricks, send them my way!
