I have been having so many nasty nightmares for a while now. They are all about the evil supernatural type of stuff like zombies, vampires, demons, warlocks, witches, ghosts, being possessed, being raped, having evil babies, and any other nasty evil stuff you can imagine. It's terrible! I can't seem to get rid of them. These dreams creep their way into my regular life too. Once I wake up those dreams just keep going in my head for who knows how long. The voices just keep going back and forth. I can't seem to control them. But I am getting a little better handle on them now that i'm on Thorazine. It's sort of helping, but the nightmares and voices are still definitely there. It's crazy! I am also currently seeing a counselor and my psych. I love going to see my counselor partly because she actually remembers things I tell her. She's great! The voices in my head don't tell me to hurt myself, but they do call me worthless. They tell me that I can't handle working anymore. But the good news is that I have applied for a few jobs within the last couple of days. So, we'll see what happens next. But, when it comes to the voices, i'm just not so sure what else to do. I may have to have my psych up my dosage on the Thorazine.

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

You might be experiencing a headrush of dream (REM Sleep) dopamine. And it might be making the nightmares worse.
Also, some of the medications can cause nightmares too. Risperdal lists "nightmares" as a known logged side effect.
I know this might not help, but at least it points the way towards a cause and mechanism for understanding.
I also forgot to say that some dreams are more extreme typically after not getting enough sleep. For example, if you stay up late several nights in a row and get up early, then you might start getting more extreme dreams and nightmares.
I read about that in a book about insomnia.
