If you go to the top of the screen and click on the turquoise "Support Groups" [in the middle of "Friends" and "Journals"] it should bring up a screen that gives you the groups that you are a member of. Click on that group and it should redirect you to that group.

Surgery is on the right eye......and there's evidence of the problem happening in the left eye. But I got a second opnion from a second highly regarded vitrea-retina surgeon and HE said that because I have a macular cyst, until such time as the cyst resolves itself, it would be pointless to do the surgery. So he injected Kenalog into the eye and a day later I has some mild improvement in vision. We're going to revisit this in 4 weeks to see if I'm then ready for surgery.

I'm a little miffed [I'm using nice words] that the first retina surgeon didn't even mention this. But when I collected copies of my records and his notes from his office, everything was written down. Why he decided NOT to tell me any of this ...........like I said, miffed.

You would think with a post of 50+ responses they would have taken a look at this topic & noticed, "Hey we messsed this site up for everyone"!

Honestly? I don't think they're paying attention at all. Isn't there someone who's overseeing the web designers? Who is it? That's who we need to get to.

Nah typically small sites like these are administrered by a small 1 or 2 man team. I wouldn't doubt it if the guys running this probably have full time jobs. That's what it seems like to me. I did the same thing running my own forum website for my own industry professionals back in 2006-2008.

I just joined the site to get support for RA and other issues. I remember the site from several years ago, but I was having serious issues and usually the page wouldn't load, so I ended up shutting down my account, three or four years ago. Today, I decided to get a new account, because I really need support, but I see everything is different. This will take some getting used to, for sure...

I'm finally on my computer, and lo and behold, I have the slanted lines in the corner. The text box expands! Hurrah!

Now if they could just make it compatible with my iPad, which is what I use most of the time. CaLynn, so you are not getting the surgery yet? That is good news!

As for Buddhacat, you can't leave us yet! Let's wait about 10 more upgrades, and maybe they will give in and go back to the old format? Just joking, I know they don't even read these posts! Sigh!

I'm pretty fed up with my RA pain, plus some major back issues. I saw a physiotherapist today, and I feel so much better in my lower back - now to see if he can work his magic with my neck.

Sometimes I think all this kvetching about this "alien egg" [appropriate term BuddhaCat] helps distract us from our RA.

Stormbornlion: I think the first retina ophthalmologist is from the old school, who believes patients are supposed to worship their doctors and not ask questions. That does NOT sit well with me.

Although the support is priceless so foolish not to make the effort.
Besides I do think about you all & wonder how your doing.
I'm not noticing some members around. What a shame.

I'm new to this site, just try to figure out how it works. I have RA since 2 years but just start to accept the illness, (it's about time :-) ) it's why now I try to find a site about RA where I can talk with other people and try to not feel alone with the illness. Don't know any other site for now.

I hate it, too. Just hate it. But every other forum I've checked has problems as well.

I have about zero confidence that the so-called web designers/developers will make discernible improvements. I've posted a number of pleas for help on the community members' site, but no one's listening. I keep reading about weekly changes......but they're focusing on hugs instead of making the site readable and navigational-friendly. Putting the cart before the horse.
