I'm new , I'm here... Trying very hard to meet people and navigate through the site . My husband was recently diagnosed . He has developed disfigured hands so I type and we read.. We're here...

Im still here...the site is a little tough to navigate but I'm sticking with it. Cory, sorry to hear about his diagnosis but don't be discouraged! I've had ra for 20 years. There's good days and bad. His attitude is going to count for a lot with this disease...you need to learn to laugh about it and try to remember that there is always someone that has worse things. Has he started on a biologic to stop the joint damage? What is he on?

Okay well it's probably just a foreseen learning curve we're all going to experience I guess? Hey Cory sorry to hear about your husbands recent diagnosis.

I'm curious Cory, you said "recently diagnosed" & has disfigured hands?When you mean recent do you mean in the last few weeks or months? Or Did he have RA for a while & did not know or get medically diagnosed until recently?? I'm still curious on how fast deformities can start to take place.

This site has DRASTICALLY changed... wow! I was very discouraged at the difference and have felt very lost. With that being said, I'm getting used to it.... slowly. I'm still here. I still journal mostly and check in here and there.
Cory, I'm hoping that your husband has a good doctor and this journey takes time to navigate and find what works / doesn't work. It's lifelong for most of us... but I've learned that it's ok. It does get better.

I'm still here, barely. I thought the site might improve, but not yet. I can't change my password. It's always showing for the login, but DS said that's not good and to reset the password. Any ideas how to do that? I'm recovering from knee surgery, off Biologics, so everything thing feels ten times more difficult. I'm ready to leave the site. Wow, I'm sounding quite negative....

I'm very computer-savvy and find the new site format overwhelmingly difficult to use. As such, I'm RARELY here anymore. About a week ago I started a thread called "If You're Interested." There are a couple links to other RA forums that I've joined. You can find me there.

I check in every now and then, but still trying to get use to this new format. The other was so much easier to navigate and i knew it well from other groups I was with in the past.

it's not the tool for group educating, research, reading, sharing and so forth that it was before, for myself. I am less educated, less informed and less cohesive - from a topical point of view if nothing else. way to go DS. fracture the topics, make it harder for folks to research what others have previously shared. before it was like a library, a resource in my ra toolkit. now it's like the pharma educational pamplets and advertising box left on in the rheumie's office...

I'm trying to be here, but not doing a very good job of it.

The new format is hard to read: size of type, length of lines across the page, color of type, don't care much for the font. This moronic answer box only shows 2-3 lines of type at a time, making it harder to compose a well-written post. Everyone's avatars are small, and usernames are in some foolish turquoise font, which doesn't show up well. I don't stay signed in from visit to visit. The list of current posts is impossible, and far fewer show up on the first page.

I have not had an easy summer. This site is no longer a refuge and a place to go to vent, share, converse, etc., it's just one more damn nuisance along the way.

Yeah I'm not really feeling the site. I've never liked how the old site you couldn't actually "reply" back to anyone & yet on a brand new supposed better site they still miss this function? This is a normal function on most forums but they seem to not think about this. Also, I don't like how you can't turn off notifications for each board. After a while a topic will/should naturally die down so I really don't care for getting notifications on posts 2 months later, doesn't make sense? Maybe I'm being too picky!

I'm still here. And I am seeing improvements every time I come here. But so slow! And so many major things still not fixed, that the CL's asked to be fixed. I am not on here as often as before. One member group has literally died. I'll bet the Founder and Admins could not get in, or handle the format change. Sad, it was a big active group. But it did go from over 2000 members to 400 in one day. I know some of those were non-active people, and good to get rid of that! But what about the people who were active, and are now gone? Sigh!

I'm mostly frustrated by the way the page lists all the posts. It used to be, you saw a huge page of post - plus the number of replies, and who replied to the last post. I would often look down the list, find one that no one had replied to, even if I didn't have any answers, and boost it to the top, where others might have some good things to say.

Well, we can only hope the dialogue box changes back to how it was. That is the most frustrating thing, besides the small font for the posts.

After coming here a few more times a day the past week I've just determined that this is a HORRIBLE formatted forum template these guys picked! I've had my fair share of running forum & chat websites on my own & I hate to complain because we NEED sites like this but this format is just plain horrible.

I am here, reading as usual, and not much responding. Weird site. I agree on the font, with my vision problems it is really hard to read.
