Prednisone Hypomania

I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.


Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too long

Sorry to hear Marlene Prednisone sure can be difficult. I have a very hard time taking it because I can't sleep worth a darn...which like you kicks me into mania.I'm familiar with the pattern.

It's unfortunate as it is a good way to recover from pneumonia. Fingers crossed you can find a solution. Have you pointed this out to your doctor?

No! There really isn’t anything else I can use for lung issues. I actually take 1/2 of what she prescribed. She also only wants 5 days, but even 2 days is enough to shut down my adrenal glands, when I get both my RA infusions.

My lungs are really damaged, so I imagine I will need to take it more. I’ve never smoked, always careful not to breathe allergens, all for nothing!

At the same time sorry for you illness that lead you to prednisone....unlike you, I did smoke, lately had two visits to hospital for breathing treatments...both times put on prednisone...this last time was a Gift From God as it gave me energy!!! for my move from my home of 27 years!!! Oh Lordy, what a process! Mary Louise <3

    I haven't been around in a long time. I am admin in a private group, and I would like to upgrade someone else to that position. I thought I knew how to do that, but the prompt has gone missing. Or is it not allowed to upgrade someone else to admin? I just find "ban and demote" under "Edit." I don't get notifications to DS anymore, but I wil come back in a few days to find out the answer.
