Knew I should have gotten a copy when it was showing as 9 or 6 dollars. Must have been a one day deal or something at B&N. My fish's copy will have to wait.

She seemed reluctant to have a copy..if it's suitable for a client..did not have the time to explain its suitability but I will _show_ her instead when my copy arrives.

Matt, you did AWESOME. This is such a gift to the readers, and when I re-read my letter I wrote today, it was a gift for me, too!!!! I totally inspired myself, LOL (Gill wants to do role playing next week ref assertiveness and I wasn't having any of it!) "Remember no one will work harder than you." So, I won't bitch like I was planning on doing. I'll just work hard.

I'm going to bring Gill his copy now even though I was already there today. I'm just going to drop it off for him :) Totally turned my crazy day into joyful!

I gave Gill his copy. Sorta ;) I wrote a note on it, slid it under his door and ran, lol!! He called me about 20 minuted later and greeted me with, "Hello distinguished writer!" Lol. He said it was very cool and he already read my letter in it. He remembers the comment he made that I wrote about and we laughed. I told him that copy was for him, and if nothing else it was a good addition to his library. He said it would be "more than that," and he'll read it "cover to cover."

I was so glad he liked it. He didnt know I had done this. It was a surprise! He laughed at how I gave it to him, about sliding and running. I got a "thats so you..."

I am a little nervous, too... but very excited, also...

I went to Amazon and clicked on the tab that read: "used or new starting at $12.50". The seller who had copies at that price was RAR, hehehe. I ordered two of them and my cost was like $37.00 That was standard rate for delivery. I thought is exceedingly reasonable! I had them shipped to my workplace, lol! That way, I won't have to keep rushing home checking...I will get it when I am at work, then drive home WITH them. It was also a "test". I know our mailroom clerk opens packages...and, knowing that the book "might" be seen...it makes me feel like I am letting my guard down a bit. I told Dr. C about the book being released. I told him how I feel to have been given this opportunity. He asked me twice who it was that put the book together...and I reminded him who Matt is. He said, "Oh! Matt...he is the guy who called me awhile back, right?" Hehehe....he remembers the conversation I'll bet, but he didn't say more, just that he was happy that I am proud of the included letter. I am so anxious to see it...and I really hope to get a hard-cover copy. And the Second Edition...and the Third. :)

Woo hoo, I will be ordering my copies when I get some money. Until then I will wait till my free copy lol!

I'm more nervous than i ever imagined i would be. I don't regret contributing one bit but the enormity of doing so has hit me a few months late. I think because having the book in my hands will make it something tangible. I never kept a copy of my letter..just wrote and sent. I have this feeling that i'm going to hate it when i see it. I'm going to focus on everyone else's letters :)

is the hard cover going to be a larger book?

I can't wait to read it. I just hope the postman takes more care than he did today with a package. If you have to ram it through the letter box surely that tells you to just knock?!

It will be the same dimensions, but will have additional content, glossy paper, and a few other neat-o stuff.

What a process! I am awed by the dedication to the task you have shown, Matt. Hardcover! That is so cool. I was wrong about my charges too...it was around $32, not $37. It always amuses me that Amazon has that tab...the one suggesting that they have "used" copies of a book you know has only just been released. I figured, what the heck...I'll see where it takes me. I am buying one of these for my PCP...then I will make an appointment with him..hehehe. I will pay him a co-pay so I can give him the book. Is that fraud? Nah....I will make sure he writes me a prescription or something. He wants me to speak to a group at the local college. He wants to see me moving out of the mode I have been in for a couple of years now...don't know about speaking, but I feel closer to being able to see that as an option for me. Just writing that feel good to me.

well I just got mine, I wish the UPS man could of stayed and read it to me :) Just joking!! I'll let you know soon, but I am sure it's fabulous!!
