I've a feeling this might be one of those that only makes sense to me, but 'Waterloo Sunsets' by the Kinks is my current 'let go of my worries' song. 'Wild Wood' by Paul Weller is another good one for just relaxing to - I used to have it in my yoga playlist.

Don't think many of my other favourites would appeal to anyone else - but at least a good silly song about zombies helps to brighten my day :)

This song was never released as a single, but is often played in their concerts. I recommend the live version from Wide Awake In America. While the studio versions are okay, the live version packs so much emotion and power that I think it surpasses the other versions. While this song is about a friend of Bono's and his ordeal with heroin, there is so much about reaching out and searching for healing in the conversation he is having with his friend.

Again, the live version from Wide Awake in America surpasses the studio version. This song makes me tear up every time I hear it. Bono's emotion translates so well through the lyrics and music. The lyrics are vague enough to give many interpretations to the listener. I think many survivors will find their own meaning.

I've just had a tearful moment when this song came on the computer, so I'll share it here.
