Hi, My name is "Elmo" I joined your group tonight because I have been having a really hard time with something that just happened recently. A few weeks ago, I left my fiancee' because he was very abusive (no longer physically but still emotionally and mentally) I had turned to someone who I thought was a friend. He got me out of my house with my fiancee' and gave me a temporary "safe place" to go. After he helped me (he also gave me some money) He started telling me that I "owed him" for everything that he'd done for me. He wanted to have sex with me but I told him no repeatedly. When he wouldn't give up, I stopped saying no, and just let him do what he was going to do. Basically, I gave up fighting. I cried the whole time. I was shaking. I told him he was hurting me. He did not stop. I am shaking really bad as I sit here and type this. With the support of my fiancee' (we decided to try again and we're both going to work on fixing our relationship 110%; which includes changing things that we each need to change) and my best friend, I contacted the local sheriff's office today about what had happened. I was told that since he did not physically hold me down or use a weapon on me, it was not rape. I have talked to numerous people who have each told me that it is considered rape. 2 of the people that I have spoken to are certified paralegals. I feel so dirty. Like the system has betrayed me once again (that's a story for another time)

I was sexually assaulted as a kid. I find it hard to accept that another person's actions caused me so much harm. He made bad choices and now I am paying the price. Stupid PTSD!
It wasn't something you wanted, nor something you wanted to do (you gave in) and you had mentioned you gave up and was tired from him hounding you all the time...
Non of these sound to me like a truly willing person.
Even if you took your clothes off layed naked on the bed, and said nothing. That still doesn't give him permission to have sex or do sexual things to/with you! Dating or not, married or not!!
Ok, my rant is over, message me if you have any other questions!!
(P,s, I've been raped before and never 'gave'permission to him either!!)
Not alone!!!
Like KAdunn has advised, go to the hospital and have rape kit done. Have it documented immidiatly.
You and your husband to go and seek advice from a lawyer, with the policemen's names with you.
Write down a statement, while it is still fresh in your mind down on paper and bring it with you.
What has happened to you is rape. There is a huge difference between making love with someone and someone forcing you to do something that you don't want to do. The after effects of what you're explaining says it all.
You feel dirty...you're trembling. You were raped. Not just that, clearly you were in a vunerable position and he took advantage of that.
None of this is your fault. This is HIS problem and he forced his problem onto you and now you're left to clean up the peices.
I am so sorry this has happened to you.
