It's your greatest fears coming out in your nightmares. Mine is that the guy that assaulted me will get out of prison and come after me and kidnap and rape me. I had that dream the other day. Perhaps your mom with this guy was a trigger for your memory. I wish the fear would leave and would not have another nightmare again about it. Are you working with a therapist? mine really helped me.

I agree with the previous opinion. Maybe part of you is afraid that this good guy your mom is with will leave, and she'll be with another guy who is like your stepfather? I know we're supposed to pray for those who hurt us, but I have a hard time praying for rapists. I will, but ugh.... That is insane. I'm sorry you have those nightmares. I would be having them to if it was me.

It's kinda a neat thing one can do with dreams.. But don't get upset if you can't.. I'll still explain it...

If you are able to control or change your dream, have you thought about defending yourself in your dream only??

With me I have a resque ing dream of getting molested...
One time I grabbed his arm and looked up to see who it was... But I woke up before I saw anything...
Then I had the exact dream a few days later,
I grabbed hold of his arm, and rapidly looked up (didn't want to wake up again..) he had no face features.. But was still talking..

Try it, see if you can control dreams..
