Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Anyone had one of these? Went to get tested for my biannual reading glasses fitting a couple of weeks ago and for an extra $40 you could get a shot of inside your eye. So I thought why not I have a dud left eye so it'd be great to see whats going on, only it comes back I have a hemorrhage in my right eye (the good one). the eye doctor believes its a side effect of warfarin, my gp says it can't be because my INR was 2.4 at the time and eye doc said don't worry just to get scanned again in a couple of months.
Makes me think where else is hemorrhaging! GP was wondering if I should see an eye specialist... anyone have experience of this side effect?

I don't think it affects your INR as drastically, if at all, the same way oral / injected antibiotics. But you can ask your pharmacist if there are any known interactions. I ask my pharmacist interaction questions all the time.

Thanks RMB. I won't worry so much about the INR now. Also, the antibiotic is actually Gentomicin, not Bacterin

Glad you got it checked out. I know what you mean about feeling stressed about everything after a PE. I think that's very normal and it can be like that for a while. Eventually that starts to soften so you don't fee so hyper vigilant about everything, so you can better assess what's just case of pink eye, or just a bad cold, or just a leg cramp or the thousand other rather benign things most people experience at some point.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
