So, I totally love my doctor. She treated me after my second DVT and my PEs. She remembers my health history without having to look it up and has been helpful and available, even calling at home after hours for pressing issues. When my anxiety was at its peak after my PEs, she told me I could come into the office every day to get checked out if I needed to. (I didn't, but it was nice to know I had the option.) She was great about discussing options for treatment as opposed to forcing one particular treatment on me. We had a great working relationship and I made sure to send ALL my records from all my doctor's appointments there so at least someone would have my entire health history.

But, then, I got a letter on Monday saying that she's left the practice and her last day has already passed. There's another doctor (male) and three PAs, but I just don't have the history with any of them. I called the office and they don't know where she went yet. I don't know that she's starting a new practice... I really know nothing.

Years ago, my doc worked at a practice with another doctor I liked. They eventually went on to work at different practices ... so I can always switch to the other doctor if mine doesn't surface again. BUT seriously, it's all just such a pain in the a$$ to have to regroup and get things transferred and so on and so forth. And, also, I'm feeling somewhat betrayed and angry about my doc just disappearing into a puff of smoke with no warning.

I'm not really looking for advice, just feeling annoyed and needed to vent.
