Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
If you're on anticoagulants you can bleed when you hit your head or have any trauma. That is just common sense and when in doubt, call your doc. That's common sense too.
What I'm saying is that not every head bump means you are going to hemorrhage to death but it has to be noted on meds because there is a chance it can happen.
