Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I was on Seasonale for years, ultimately leading to multiple blood clots in both lungs, lung damage, and 3 clots in my legs. Im 9 months post PE, but have been off Coumadin for a few months.
Since going off the pill, I have been suffering from very irregular periods -- anywhere from 21 days to 40, migraines every months, and some depression the day my period starts and few a few days thereafter. I discussed with my hematologist, and she allowed me to go either with the mini pill or an IUD.
My gyno suggested we first try the mini pill. It made my symptoms worse. After 2 weeks, I couldn't take it and stop using it.
Im scheduled to get my IUD on Friday. Im so nervous. Ive read that when you have never had kids, it can be incredibly painful to put in, and i have a higher rate to expel it. I have read that some women plead regularly, like every day on it,. This is my only option. I am nervous about the pain, although can take if i know it will work. Im more worried that it just won't work for me, and them I'm left without any real options. If this doesn't work, it will be a constant reminder of what this clot did to me.
Anybody else have or had an IUD? symptoms?

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Yeah the cramps will get better; just take easy, try the warm baths and a heating pad.
