It depends. If this is something you are not getting from a dr, you are an addict! If you are getting these from a dr but are taking more then prescribed, you are an addict! If you are getting these from a dr and are taking them as prescribed, then I wouldn't worry about it.

I believe the difference between an addict and someone who is abusing drugs is that an addict feels the need and has little control over using the drugs. If you feel like you NEED to use them even when you don't that would fall under the lines of addiction. However, it's still drug abuse either way, and it's almost a game of Russian Roulette when using drugs. I'm struggling with the same thing, and I always wonder whether using them will get me high this time or get me in the ER. Either way, it's a struggle, and if there's any other way that distracts your brain from using them and promotes a positive outcome on your life I strongly urge you to take that route. Drugs are a great distraction, but they are an even greater way of causing irreparable damage to yourself and those who care about you.

@B_Happy Guess im an addict. but i havent had them in a while. i stole them from a friend and havent had the chance to get more it actually upset me so much that i wasnt able to find anyone selling them. Its been a week or two and i feel like i have a hole that cant be filled without the vicodin. which sucks because i never intended for that to happen. ONTOP of that i already have sleep apnea (i stop breathing at times when i sleep) and Vics slow your breathing ive forggotten to breathe numerous times when i would take them. I guess i just liked having a break from reality getting a little messed up and being "Numb" but i miss it so much now... and if i had the chance id buy them...

If that's the case then you could potentially die from narcotics! It would be a good idea to talk to your doctor and get help before it's too late!

I can relate to that very much I'm in the same situation now

I was on pain killers for 13 years, now im on suboxone the last 3 years,.Pain pills are a extremely hard to quit,n at sum point,u can't physically do it on ur own anymore
