I had a dream last night, a...I was lost. Not literally but when I woke up. It was me as a child...in a really happy home. My parents were still together, I was abused, it was happy. And I woke up and I've been thinking of that dream ever since. It was last Thursday. So then I was walking home from my bus stop and I saw a family. A mother, father and a little I wanna say 8 year old and a baby. It was adorable, but I felt a pang of sadness. I never got to experience a loving father or a happy family. My family was torn in two by my father long before I was born. I...I do wonder if I'd be less depressed if I DID have a happy complete family. Idk

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Comparing my insides to other people's outsides is not a fair comparison. Over the course of my informal research, I was stunned to discover how many people from those idyllic families envied the appearance of freedom that my family dysfunctions gave to the outside of my own life.
Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose. ~Kris Kristofferson
So it seems to me. Continued support while you sort what it is for you, Shu.
I just woke up from dreaming I was a Jewish organizer behind German lines early in the Holocaust getting people out in the underground railroad. It's because I took my students on a field trip to the Holocaust Museum last week. The stories of their survival resonated with me. I'm amazed at how many escaped misery and near death in Europe and came to America to have good lives. I escaped from overseas and came here, too, so I want to be like them about it if I can. Work in progress, coming here every day for the support to make that happen.
Much support to you today, too.
