I haven't felt this horrible since we'll in a long time. So long story short I fractured my shoulder (roughly 9 months ago) it wasn't bad, the issue wasn't that, it was everything afterwards. My dancing, my backpack and moving heavy objects was the breaking point. Well let me sort of start from the beginning.
As a toddler my brother dislocated my shoulder. Fun. So my left shoulder has always been a bit more prone to... accidents. It can easily dislocate, usually I'm able to pop it back in. So now these last couple months, I have been doing extreme workouts and dancing for a competition next year. Yay. But one of the dances consists of sort of falling. So I feel and I knew I fucked the dance up when I heard a noise and then extreme pain. My first thought was "shit I need to pop this back in place." Popped it back in place and continued to dance. That's when it started hitting me, something was off. I was in discomfort when I was driving. So again I ignored it and just slung the belt under my arm. Then we had to evacuate from Irma and I had to carry some heavy stuff. My shoulder mid carry collapsed and I dropped the container (which weighed roughly 50lbs) and I wasn't allowed to carry heavy objects. But since then the pain has been more severe, until yesterday I didn't go to school, because that Friday I dropped my bag (my bag weighs like at most 5-10lbs) and my shoulder just collapsed from holding that for .5 seconds. And my mom didn't want to risk it. Again I ignored the pain until yesterday where I was crying if you touched it, put weight on it. So off to the doctors who sent me to a chiropractor who sent me back to the doctors to get scanned. Got scanned and then they sent the scan to the chiropractor. Apparently I popped it out so far from over exertion that I had to get it professionally popped back into place (which can very from a week to two weeks) so he started working on me (which felt amazing but now I want to tear my shoulder off because it hurts more) so I'm currently in a sort of awkward cast thingy. Know I may be overreacting, but I haven't been this depressed since last year. It's horrendous. I was told by both the doctor and chiropractor not to dance or work out until we get this sorted out. I sadly agreed. I never realised how much I rely on dance to help me cope with anxiety. I don't know what to do. How do I cope. Already my mom's noticed a personality change. I'm more quiet, less laughing, just not having fun. I may be overreacting and if I am someone please just slap me. I just...I don't like not knowing how to fight this pain. I'm already in constant pain from my shoulder and this weird depression isn't helping. Any advice?
Thanks,
