hi everyone. I wanted to let everyone know what's been happening recently. I just got the ability to be on here. I talked to my school counselor. I am staying in a foster home at the moment. There was no evidence that my siblings were in danger so they couldn't come with me. At this point I am waiting for things to move forward I guess. I don't really know what the next steps are. They had to do a lot things to get evidence, and that was terrible. The foster people here are nice enough the lady gets mad that I haven't been able to sleep without a "night terror" (that's what my therapist called them). At this moment they can't do anything more than investigate the other guys who were doing things. And to make it worse my mom won't talk to me. She said I was lying about it all and things would be better if I left for good. That was really hard to take, I mean she's my mom she's supposed to love me no matter what, but she chose him. I should have seen it coming. I guess all in all I am happy to be away from him though.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

My mom and I haven't talked for 7 years now. It was hard at first, but eventually being mama-drama-free has actually been good for me, believe it or not. My life has gone steadily forward slowly but surely without the setbacks I always had from time to time from my mom's problems.
I hope those "night terrors" get better for you. I had those and, like I've told folks here, a prescription for Prazosin at night helped that big time. Not many side effects, and cheap, too. See if you can mention it to your therapist.

often, people who were involved, like your mom, cannot stand to face the guilt they would have to feel, they have spent all those years hiding from it maybe/probably.
it is impossible to know from where i am sitting. but this does happen. try to concentrate on you, on helping yourself get a life you can live that is ok enough for you. keep the therapy up, it will help you a lot. we are here, come here, talk to us, we care about you.
you did a strong thing in stepping away from there. gentle hugs. Lilly
Sending you lots of support & big hugs <3
Building my support system made a huge diff in my own recovery. Being active here is definitely a good first step that direction. Cyber-relations can only go so far in real world support, but ya gotta start somewhere.
