A few months back in a discussion in this group I briefly touched on the topic of one of my concerns/paranoias. The issue was that I feel very uncomfortable and on edge around feminists due to the nature of the abuse that lead to my traumas and who the abusers were. I also memtioned how one aspect of this in particular that bothers me is how often I see rants/posts/blogs around the internet where self proclaimed "feminists" argue things like it is rape if a man even looks at a woman, or that all sex is rape, etc.
At the time some group members here seemed surprised or even skeptical of such claims occuring in today's world.
Well recently I learned of articles about a case where a woman kept calling the cops and accusing her male neighbor of "telepathically raping" her. Of course in each case the police couldn't find any evidence that the neighbor was doing anything at all so the case would be dismissed.
Well eventually the woman went and illegally purchased a gun and then convinced her husband to go shoot that neighbor with it for telepathically raping her. The neighbor was shot several times in the back, but thankfully survived and the woman and her husband were arrested.

I feel as though I might not be so on edge or paranoid around women and feminists if a satisfactory explaination could be given as to why none of the mainstream/prominent feminist groups/organizations ever seem to publicly denounce or speak out against the radical/extremist feminists who try hijacking the movement to preach about things like how all men are evil rapists by virtue of being born male.
Wouldn't it be in the best interest of actual feminists (as in the ones who are just about equality and not about hating men) to NOT let extremists highjack the feminist movement to turn it into one about hate?
For someone like me it comes across as looking like mainstream feminism condones the actions and sexist philosophies of the radicals/extremists when virtually nothing seems to be done about it. It doesn't exactly put me at ease when the only feminists who speak out against it or even say they're against it seem to be the small groups and individuals who identify as feminists, but frequently seem oblivious to what is going on in the modern generations of feminism.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

A claim to any 'ism' doesn't erase all else, nor excuse it. I hold that true for feminism, masculinism, any-da*n-ism.
BTW, as far as I can tell, there is no coherent "feminist" movement at this time, as the label has been hijacked by everyone ranging from the hard-core evangelical religious right to publicity-seeking attorneys to politicians shilling for votes (often male, to boot, there's irony).

After so much searching for support and affordable/available resources only to find nothing I am feeling like there really isn't any hope of things getting better. Whenever I look online or in the media, the news or the world around me I just see and hear about more and more of the types of abusive people that caused my traumas popping up everywhere. I see them getting praised and encouraged by others for their abusive actions/behavior, while those who say anything against them get chastized and shamed.
It doesn't help that I'm not seeing any sign of there actually being an equality seeking, non hate mongering majority group in today's feminist movements like people keep saying there is. I'm feeling increasingly inclined to side with all the equal rights activists out there that say it has become little more than a hate movement.
I guess the important thing is to 'live in the now' and not get upset about the past, future or outside events. Sometimes that's not easy though.
Rush Limbaugh (yuk!) coined the term "feminazi." I don't like him, but I see his point.
and posting a single article about a woman in obvious psychosis doesn't exactly make your point. maybe it's your attitude that makes you so repellant to strong women?
This attitude only came about in the last year after an abusive relationship with a woman who was using me came to an abrupt end end resulted in me having a breakdown (a straw that broke the camel's back situation).
I've also posted plenty of other examples before as well. Unfortunately each of those times people like you flipped out, so I didn't post a wall of links this time.
I cope by refusing to blame an ism. The sad truth is, nobody wants to believe *any* victims, male or female, about any bad stuff. It's a sort of built-in denial in the species, it sucks, and it hurts.... Yet there is solidarity for us all in that, here at DS. We all know that pain and confusion and anger and fear. Let it flow. We may not know the precise words you want to hear, but we offer sincere good wishes and healing for you.
This ought to be obvious to anyone.
You are not alone. Feminism has done so, so much damage. As the mother of a caring, strong, smart, young man - feminism terrifies me. The education system is especially bad for males.
Please honour your feelings and know that you are not alone. Many, many men and women are working hard to make things better for young men. Hatred is rampant. Using feminism as a tool to spread hatred is wrong. It's no different than how religion is used to spread hatred.
Hang in there. The world needs a lot more aware people.
