Tonight after my night psych class at the community college two older non-traditional students stayed after class to talk. Turned out one of them wanted to talk about having survived a rape and having survived a suicide attempt over it. The other was there for support, which was good for me, too.
It turned out I was able to listen calmly and point her to help. We have counseling at the college. I told Lilly I know I couldn't do that if I weren't grounded in DS PTSD first, so I thought I'd say thanks.
And added thanks for helping me with my own mood issue Monday from the darkness (lack of daylight) adjustment after changing our clocks on Sunday.

I still need an extremely controlled environment with ONLY supportive participants to tell the actual events of most of my traumatic events. My ability to tell the actual story is as flighty as my chicks being chased by the old hens. A single unexplained motion will send me skittering. . .
I have yet to experience a human-controlled environment for "it." The Moments always seem to come at the most surprising of moments. A scenario such as what you painted here would be typical. I call it, "Divine Intervention." Carpe diem.
