We live only a few hours drive from the Canadian boarder. I have actually never been there - going across the boarder has always intimidated me for some reason.

But this is getting ridiculous. I am tired of hours of B##### trying to get hubby the antibiotics to keep him healthy. He is tired of pain management doctors taking 10 months to change my pain meds to try to address my CHRONIC and fully documented pain.

It just takes a copy of a birth certificate and a bit of paperwork to get an enhanced drivers license which would let us go back and forth across the boarder with very little issue.

In Canada, we can buy hubby's antibiotic by the 500 count bottle for less than $20. The 160 he has right now took five hours and just under $200 to get counting the Dr visit... the dose and prescription has not changed in five years. Oh, and it will take me a couple days to get my pain under control after having to be off my meds so I could drive.

We could also pick up enough of my pain meds to give me a safety margin for time like this month where it took 18 days past when I was supposed to get me my monthly Rx for 28 days of meds.

It would be cheaper to go up to Vancouver for a couple days, play tourist, stay in a nice hotel, and stash two or three bottles in our stuff and drive home than go through another day like today...

Every moral fiber in my mind is screaming that this is WRONG!!! But when I spend 18 hours in absolute agony that threatens to let me pass out, only to snatch it away at the last second, jarring my system with an extra dose of pain I did not know was possible.. made worse only for the flashbacks of laying is a hospital room screaming in agony for three days...somehow, circumventing the law does not sound so bad...
