Support groups which allow third person rants (he/she/it/they) often don't work for folks like me whose mother wounds center around absentee mothers. Get a group of sick people ranting in the third person and the mother bashing is bound to ensue. The game of, "My mommy is meaner than your mommy." spins endlessly while folks who have no mommy just end up stewing in their own inadequate birthrights with zero hope of stopping the salt being rubbed in their mother wounds any time soon. Flight instinct justified.
Am I alone in this here in this particular on-line community? Of course, the advantage of the on-line format is that mouse power can shut off the rant with a single click. Instant avoidance.
Whatever the nature of the individual, strictly personal wound, there is no doubt that Mother Wounds are especially tender and infection prone. Is it surprising that Mother Wounds are as diverse as Mothers?
Thoughts? Reality checks?

Nope, just disabled, thanks.
Support to you. No place to judge nor to understand, given my own situation, just .... support.
I seem to be more at peace with myself when I don't visualize the women who do these horrible things to their children of any age. Easier said than done for a person who thinks in pictures, but. . . Keeping the acceptance as simple and personal seems to help me navigate both personal coping and compassion for the suffering of others.
Inside my own, strictly personal psycho-sort, it can be hard to tell a "p" from a "q" in the turbulent winds of my own, personal facts. The high winds pick up debris and shrapnel with natural ease.
Still sorting. . . Haven't started running, yet. Progress over perfection?
Thank you for the support.
Hope healing happens here.
