Two full weeks since my DIL whisked my grandson away.
It hurts. Love hurts.
I cried most of the afternoon. Finally. I think I will probably cry all night. I hope. I call tears, "A shower for the soul." My soul is in serious need of cleansing. I envy people who cry easily.

My grandson's second birthday is Wednesday. I feel emotionally raped.
Landed in Batesville, Arkansas for tonight. The confluence is a fairly easy drive from here. The Ouachita Mountains are as gently soothing as ever. Methinks they are what gave me the courage to cry. At last.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Alas, the tears turned inward again. Same ol' defensive woofery. . .
Still. . . Feeling progress, I think. I hope. I pray. Didn't jump out of bed, hyper-alert from the nightmare. I dreamed of a giant, godzilla-like teddy bear made out of red velvet cake. I went back to sleep and dreamed of eating cake.
