Ok.
I can't shut off, because there is no motivation if I don't feel, and no reason to exist if I don't care.
Within a day, I wasn't recognizing myself, my guy was feeling abandoned, my friend was mourning my parts that I was walling off, I was having random self-destructive thoughts, I didn't want to go near my niece or nephew ( babies are so vulnerable! how icky! )
...I am depressed, I guess. I need to get a job, muy pronto.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I hope it's like a cell phone, and your batteries are just critically low.
The trick, of course, is finding out what a "charger" is in such a case.
Whatever it is ... I hope you find it soon, and get back to 100% !
I know working is important, but are you able to stay off work for a bit? I did not like being off work, but my therapist said I needed to stop running from the trauma and deal with it and I needed to be off work to do that. So I have been off work for more than a year and I have learned to slow down. As much as I don't like it, it has been for the best.
Blue I am sending you my prayers and (((hugs))) so that things start to get better for you soon. Take care
Loving, safe hug (Blue)
You already hit on the only solution I've found. Getting out and interacting with the outside world is vitally important in fixing it. I make a mighty small package when I fold in on myself.
Gentle support while you find your way, blue.
