Every single one of my critters, both domestic and wild, has been agitated in recent days. Even the clothing-clad critters. Seems to me that this happens twice a year around the two days a year that ". . .the sun stands still. . ." Solstice is Latin for "Sun Stopped."
Some nerd refs for my theory on why agitation is part of every solstice.

Turning the planet on its axis -even if only 23.45 degrees- is a pretty awesome shift in physical forces. I think it agitates the entire bio-web.
Anybody else have critters who are agitated? Theories on why?

I don't really know how to label this but I having a rough week and I can't say it's one thing.... I have a lot on my plate which is nothing new and I try to cope in many positive ways and do but I still have my moments. My kids more so my daughters talk to me about everything which I know it's cause of comfort and we are close.... however I really struggle with the venting about their dad which...

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I get that unsettled/unsettling feeling. My Polish grandma once joked she could tell the date by her hens, her grandchild (me), and the barking of the dog. Not sure what that makes me, exactly, but I feel it as if there's a build-up to a massive *groan* and until that's "released", it's just.... edgy. Not right. Anticipatory.
Mind you, I spent more time in the woods and fields among the critters than among people whenever I could help it as a kid, so I probably just learned it from them. I wish I had words to explain the sensation. I've had it all my life, whether living ex-urb or rural, even at college, so I suspect my subconscious simply notes the cues that I noticed the other living things noticing?
Long-winded reply, sorry, but it's as if there's an ache in unseen bones and until it eases, nothing else can, either?
I am one of the disrupted critters, in other words. Post-solstice, I always *pop*. Equinoxes are a sense of "tipping", but a solstice? Yeah. The essential realization (and this was when I was four and couldn't tell you a thing about Einstein or Newton) that it was time to.... Time to.... And then? *exhale*
No such thing as "Off-Topic" on this thread. The shifting of the planetary axis is a Global Event. It is all affected.
I do know I am a night person and the moon gives me a lot of energy. I have seen the cat has been very hyper, running around tearing up the rugs as he speeds through the apartment. Its pretty funny
The cat running around the apartment, tearing things up would be a prime example of the agitation. My dog is whining like a baby and acting extra needy. My son's dog is acting the clown. My chickens are clucking and pecking at whatever they can get their beaks on. I had a wild aztec dove buzz me while I was cleaning out the coop.
Just how much physical force does it take to halt the direction of a planet and start it tilting the opposite direction? How many physical sub-forces are affected by that much physical force?
