My Off-Topic posts are something of a therapy balancing tool for me. Hobbies, creative outlets, etcetera, etceteri. I have yet to meet a professional therapy program which doesn't endorse it by one name or another.
I am still learning how to brood feather babies. I have grown quite passionate on the subject. There are lots and lots of backyard chicken groups where I have been nurturing the budding hobby. I am not at all sure I really need a more supportive environment for it, but. . . I find myself wanting to share here. Not quite sure why. I don't because there are quite allot of forum members who trigger viciously on the subject of back yard poultry. Each has their own reason(s) for not wanting the subject in their support environments. Fair enough. I respect that.
But still I am not entirely at ease with it. Not quite sure why.
Thoughts? Reality checks? Opines? Soap box rambles?

My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart. Used a different debit card and pulled apart everything looking for missing debit card before I left parking lot. Got home, dropped keys. So now I have a missing debit card, missing keys. No roosters allowed in my urban yard, either. My rule. I didn't bother to check if city ordinance agrees with me, or not. Them critters is loud.
My hens play fight all the time. They love blustering up at one another and charging for a sumo wrestler style chest bump. The newest brood just started doing that this week. Watching them establish their pecking order reminds me of an executive committee meeting. They repeat the process daily. No bloodshed so far. Quite entertaining when it doesn't affect my job description.
