I've been staying in bed a lot. Seems like the groin kick from behind in August did lasting damage. He really got me in the anus, it hurts when I go the bathroom. I saw on social media that he is a black belt in some kind of martial art. I try not to ever look at his profiles anymore. I usually sleep with an ice pack in my pajama pants for the nerve damage to my labia. It's either that or give up biking, I guess. I was all set to forgive and forget, but living with the physical damage and anxiety is hard. I couldn't even enjoy the Deadpool movie because it's full of groin kicks, which don't seem funny anymore.
It's also weird because a group I'm involved in has people who know the dance instructor who kicked me. They seem to feel sorry for me. I really hope he never joins the group; it's for people of Irish descent, like him. I feel like wherever I go in town, people are like, "you got kicked in the butt at the front door of a dance studio didn't ya?" I'm terrified I'll see him at the St. Patrick's Parade.
Also bummed because I was so proud that I'd helped my brother become independent, but he wasn't doing well at all. Just can't get my mojo back.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Don't write it off to forever yet. Some injuries just take a really long time to heal.
I slipped on the ice one time and banged my hip. For the next 4-5 months I'd get shooting pains whenever I laid on it the wrong way. It would wake me up out of a dead sleep. I started taking ibuprofen (advil) every night to reduce the inflammation. About a month after that...just when I was beginning to think it would be forever...it got better.
So gentle hugs. (and ice packs) for you...,

There is not much that can be done to repair a fractured tailbone, only the stretching you would do as part of warm up may help in some relief in adjustment. I can't sit back or slouch because of it, riding a bike? uh uh. Too much antagonizing of my tailbone. Mine happened in 1987.
As for him at the parade? Don't hold back by not going, because you will start to put more walls up, eventually walling yourself in. If you have to leave then leave. But if you haven't had an exam and this was done in a class where he was an instructor, do so and follow up with an assault/battery case, or at least a restraining order. (you have witnesses)
As for your brother you can't love him more than he loves himself, be supportive but not enabling.
Hugs, J.
Have you seen a doctor?
Don't know the story, but sending healing hopes. Physical pains in the literal arse are no laughing matter. Hope healing happens here.
P.S.
I have a sudden craving to watch James Cagney movies. James Cagney is the definitive Irish-American Dancer in Arf World.
Last February, I had a huge vascular surgery to take out tons of bad veins in my legs. I believe I began producing too much testosterone for a few months after the surgery. Was taking his tango class in April. I was making eye contact and hyperventilating at times due to my incest trauma, sexual issues. One dance in particular it seemed something happened and he may have gotten an erection and felt traumatized. The next day, my breast atrophy started. He told me he could not dance with me at my first dance party, I had a PTSD episode of shaking and he hugged me till the shaking stopped. I mostly dropped out of the dance school, only going to parties occasionally, out of guilt and gratitude, just dancing with older men. I didn't realize that he may have felt raped or how much he wanted me to leave till he came out and met me at the front door one party. I knew I was in danger from the look in his eyes. Everyone there loves and spoils him and thinks I deserved it.
I hope you can take this to the police asap. perhaps he has assaulted others this way and your...report is the one more they need.
please do not be in contact with this person - but do make a police report and get a restraining order in place. the degree of your injuries needs to be addressed and the fact that he holds a black belt should be shared with the police as well.
there may be victim money available to get medical help with your injuries - possibly an MRI, whatever will best show the injuries - both for the best health care follow up - but also, to show what he did to you. the sooner the better.
He is used to being "loved and spoiled" as you say. It's his reaction to hurt those that don't immediately and forever adore him. Just a little egocentric to put it mildly. Then to follow you out a door to inflict pain on you? because he isn't the only one?
It was his problem not yours. Please don't rationalize away your right to autonomy. Regular people would have been okay with supporting you with out requiring you to be beholden to them.
Hugs of support.
J.
I've also heard theories that that common desire is the key difference between normal Post Traumatic Stress and the Disorder. The PTS needs to be processed before it develops into the Disorder.
But, the biggest thing I learned during the course of my own "Judicial Victories" is that forgiveness is far more healing than winning, in my own strictly personals.
Glad you are feeling better, ds.
Big hugs of support against the pain
