It's my last semester before retiring from teaching for 40 years, and on Wednesdays I have a 12 hour teaching schedule.  12 hours.  I teach from 9am to 9pm. 


It's a lot, y'all, especially with a lack of oxygen in my blood from chronic kidney disease from too much Seroquel for PTSD nightmares.  


I just got home from buying groceries after my 9pm class.  I'm going to have to talk to y'all tomorrow.

Sorry to miss y'all again all day yesterday. My boss added a departmental meeting via Zoom into the mix. It wasn't bad by itself, but for my already precarious schedule teaching from home 100% full time these days it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Sigh.

66 days until I retire, yeah!

I've gotten through 2/3 of my weekly 12 hour Wednesday teaching schedule. It's a 9am to 9pm work day for me that's gotten harder with age. The payoff is I get half of the day off tomorrow on Thursdays, so I keep reminding myself of that. I'm glad to be on a break to say so now after my day classes before my 6 to 9pm class tonight.

65 days now.

The 3rd class last night sucked as my live streaming software my college gave me to use for teaching from home crashed 4 times as I tried to teach them from 6-9pm. Argh. It's still a lot to handle, and I've contacted IT tech support both at my college and beyond, my department chair, everybody. Nobody can do anything about it and I can't teach face to face because my state closed schools for the pandemic.

I’m sure your students understand technical issues. Sorry you have really had a challenging week. Crashes can happen if the network is overwhelmed, or the network provider is having issues or even application problems. There isn’t much that can be done. I’ve had issues during peak times with delayed video processing, freezing and connectivity. I hope you find time to recoup from the week. Hope Friday goes well for you. Cheers. Just keep counting down it’s almost here.

Right, SC, another week down indeed. Big TGIF!!! That's all I can say, TGIF!! And thank y'all for all of the support on this thread to get me TO Friday this week!

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
