I have to say, I've been fairly stable for the past 9 years, except for anxiety issues. For any who don't know me, before 2017, I was a Mess. Seriously undermedicated crazy person.
And, since I've been stable for so long, I had come to believe I was "cured". That bipolar just miraculously ended for me.
...Until last month, when some things started happening that used to happen. And now I'm having to watch myself closely again.
I'm still on my antipsychotic so things haven't gotten out of hand, but I am sharing this today because bipolar disorder IS a lifelong illness.
I'm sure there are others like me who may think they are or can be cured, or that they may not need meds anymore, etc.
I am a reminder that even if it's been years, you may still have episodes again.

Rewritten and now I’m realizing that it may be the jet lag and the SS evaluation that have me tanking. I started to feel really low and that made me extra depressed. It sux when it kicks your butt!!
I sometimes feel over medicated due to meds making me tired but I've been really med sensitive so when I got on a cocktail that's worked I don't want to change
I think the med I felt the best on was Lamictal but I quit sleeping and then I ended up with a rash...sigh
I agree it is a lifelong illness...xo
