I think I should just hang out here on this site today. I'm in a very triggered and altered state and I could cite many good triggers/reasons but really it happens quite regularly. Life is just too hard for me, always has been and as I age it's not going to get better. This is the only support I have in the world and I thank you all for being here.

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

I went through some vicious rounds of this last year with my DIL and, by proxy, my son. I am once more receiving parental blessings to spend time with my grandchildren and it is wonderful, but. . . It be a litigious world we live in. . . I am still living with the angst of when I will be judged unfit once more. Lawsuits are not getting any less numerous, creative or whimsical here in the U.S. where the exes just might be the largest demographic in the country. I hear rumors that that trend is international. . .
It's okay ". . .to be such a downer" for as long as it takes until it does ". . .get better again one day. " You don't need to face this alone. We are here for you.
I can say from that, though, that it has been enough. People can say what they want, that it's "just virtual," but in my life it's been truly real. I'm so glad you're feeling better, as you said. You're not alone, we're here for you. Wish I'd been here sooner, but I'm pulling for you, my friend.
