11 years of abuse, mental physical sexual. i live in fear for my life everyday. i rarely leave my home unless ive got to go to the doctor. nightmares every night. divorced for 8 years but things have not gotten better mentally. watching him slapping my son pulling him up by the hair of his head. thankfully my sons 18 now and in college. i had to leave him with his abusive dad bc i couldnt take of him. he was 11 then. glad im out of the abuse. had to go in a psych hospital for while didnt want to live anymore. i dont talk to my son they have turned him against me. i had a bad car wreck and his dad was cheating on me and kicked me out on the streets for a younger woman after i put with the lies cheating and abuse for 11 years. he didnt want my son but he didnt want to pay child support so he kept him i had no money to fight for him,my family wouldnt help me either. and there was no record of the abuse as far as the law bc i never put him in jail but looking back i should have every time he busted my nose lips and blacked my eyes choking me to the point i pasted out. nobody will ever do that to me again i will be pressing charges or they will be dead. theres a special place in hell for him when he dies. even though my son is 18 i think hes still scared. they hold the purse strings and the vehicle. we will see in the future when the truth comes out and it will. i say nothing for my sons sake so he dont go without and somestimes that just kills me. bc i know what they have told him to make themselves look good. that i didnt want him im a pill head. i hope he asks for the truth 1 day.maybe when hes stable on his own. you know some things people just dont ever get over no matter how much meds or anger management or therapy. thats why people snap bc of society and how people do us and we get tired of being screwed over. glad to feel somewhat numb today better than the violent rage that i usually feel and irritability. those feelings scare me.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

TRIGGER WARNING
Like grabbing somebody by the hair in a rage, as you describe. In my story what followed being grabbed by the hair was the head being beaten over and over against a car window. The other hand was on the steering wheel as he drove down the road. It was bizarre, to say the least, and it got to where it happened every week from then on for 4 more years after that.
I was the son and the abuser was my father, so I really relate when you talk about your son the way you do. I was a son in that predicament once myself.
So one thing you wrote jumped out at me: "we will see in the future when the truth comes out and it will." That did happen in my case, it really did. My father ended up getting caught and he paid for what he'd gotten away with for years. It was years later, mind you, but the truth did come out like you say. Since you mention control, I got some control in my life back just by proof coming out that it all really did happen.
You're not alone here.
