I use "detachment mantras" allot in my grounding exercises. Most notably when I want to care about somebody else's personal drama which happens to be triggering me into my PTSD Inferno. I silently repeat them to myself in cadence with my deep breathing. The person I am listening to seldom knows I am doing it. I am so progressed that I can breathe and listen at the same time! The joys of parenting middle aged children has me digging pretty hard for detachment mantras.
CC posted about a great one way back in 2015. "Not my monkey. Not my circus." She inspired me to go mantra shopping again. This is me, checking at the DS PTSD counter. Any more good detachment mantras?
I'll start with a few of the ones I have worn holey:
~ Not about me.
~ Ears open. Mouth shut.
~ Let go. Let God.
~ Not mine to sort.
~ Stay here. Stay now.
Anybody have more?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Here it takes the form of yours, "Not about me" and try to remember that the degree for them is fire hot in the moment.
I also note to "Breathe" often and when needed. To draw back until I am strong enough to swim, the only thing worse than watching one person drown is watching two.
The waters are not so deep today for me as they were yesterday...so good stuff arfie.

I often site the present, today is January 2, 2015, my name is ..., I live at ... helps me come to the present and ground me. I also focus on my wedding rings as they came after the trauma and keep me focused now. Weird but it does generally work
Some songs on my phone really help too, very powerful
Maybe you can mentally bait her into the lion's den with that banana? Mentally wrap her in skirt steak before you bait her into the lion's den? Put her in entertaining costumes?
I love visualization. Hm-m-m-m. Been a while since I watched "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." Danny Kaye's version. Haven't seen Ben Stiller's version yet.
