I don’t know where else to find help. Or even someone who understands.
I’ve been through therapy for years. I’ve seen a lot of progress with that but everyday I still carry this burden in my mind.
I feel like I have a whole mountain to climb before my day even begins. And some days are so stressful for me mentally that I just keep putting one foot in front of the other, hoping I meet the bare minimum requirements of my responsibilities.
I haven’t been able to sleep the last few weeks, I’m having nightmares again. I’m having intrusive thoughts again, and thoughts that run in circles most days. I’m just so exhausted with feeling in pain, and causing other people pain. Even when I don’t mean to, I seem to hurt the people I care about most. It makes me feel like a bad person. I feel a lot of guilt and shame around it all. some days it feels so defeating that I don't know how I'll continue managing it. The last few weeks have been more challenging for me than it has been in years.
I’m afraid to reach out and mention that I’m struggling this much. I don’t want to worry my friends and family. I’m just simply exhausted to keep battling this everyday. And i don’t think anyone understands. Everything on the outside looks great, I don’t know how they could possibly understand what I deal with even if I explained it.
My favorite quote is “no tree can grow to heaven unless it’s roots reach down to hell”. A quote by a psychologist named Carl Jung. Sometimes it gives me inspiration that I’ve been given this great pain for a purpose. That it’s my destiny to overcome this and guide the way for others going through it. I like to believe I can do this. But I fall back into this hole and can't seem to climb my way out fast enough.
Thank you for reading.

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...
Even when friends and family **do** understand, they make notoriously lousy therapists. May the never be detached enough to explore my psychosis to the levels needed to reach Carl Jung's proverbial reach into Hell. Personally, I hope the friends and family who don't have the insights to understand NEVER have the insights to understand. I wouldn't wish these insights on my worst enemy, much less a friend or loved one.
But trying to heal alone is something like trying to climb a lifeline that is attached only to my own belt. Support needed.
Support is available. This very forum is one of the places to gain therapy peer support while you explore the available options. I wouldn't wish these insights on my worst enemy, but I am equally grateful to know I'm not alone. It helps.
Welcome aboard, Blue. Hope you find healing companionship here.
You are not alone.
I just wanted to welcome you to the group.
This is a safe space to share and find support among very kind and empathetic people.
Welcome.
I’ve also been told that the only thing I’ll be able to do with my suffering is manage and cope, and that there isn’t a cure that will make my feelings/thoughts and other symptoms magically go away. The thought of that is awful.
Thank you for welcoming me and I’m glad to have helped you feel less alone.
@silverlight , thank you for welcoming me with kind words. I hope to find others who can relate in hopes to feel less alone. I also hope by sharing my experience that others feel less alone.
I also feel exactly the same when I wake up, as a matter of fact I posted that again this morning.
I also keep things inside. The only person who I tell is my therapist and this group, actually. (which I am so happy I found)
So my best to you.
For what it's worth
Some days I can even muster gratitude and appreciation for the network of amazing people I never would have even met, much less opened my heart to without being motivated by my mental health needs. Those days have grown more frequent as my healing has progressed.
Welcome to the group, you are not alone here
Sending you lots of support & strength
Big hug <3
That's why I come here for support every day. Some days I climb that mountain by leaps and bounds and let out a holler when I reach the top. Other days I need somebody to throw me a rope.
By the way, next to Viktor Frankl, Carl Jung is my favorite psychologist. Thanks for the quote.
This is a good group.... I'm glad that you've found us.... Big hug....xo
