The DIL has spoken her first words since the MIL /DIL Blowout over a month ago by email. I am AssUMing it is the DIL and not my son still trying to act on her behalf. I am trying not to listen to my Army training on the nature of AssUMption and taking the leap of faith that it is she who wrote the email. I am afraid of trampling newly sprouted seedlings, so I do not wish to speak much about it at this time, but. . .

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I spun off into new rounds of anger and resentment today. Can you tell? No big surprise there, either. Feeling exploited, abused and betrayed. Wondering if I should be grateful I won't have to suffer the pain of loving the child still in her womb. Loving her firstborn is painful enough.
Wish it was easy for me to cry. I do, sincerely, envy folks who cry easily. I call tears, "A shower for the soul." My soul sure needs the shower.
