Been awhile . . . Struggling

Hey all. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been on here but times are tough and I know how much you guys have helped me in the past.
My oldest brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer in February. The doctors gave him 6 months to live. We lost my dad 5 years ago in the exact same scenario. I have multiple trauma ptsd and my fathers death was part of it and I ended up with complex grief disorder and haven’t even completely grieved his death. My ptsd is holding me back from being the sister that I want to be for my brother. The same thing that happened with my dad. My psychologist says to do things different this time but it feels so much the same. So I’m struggling. It’s hard to be a single mom, an employee, a sister, a daughter, a friend . . . I feel like a big piece of garbage. Sometimes, actually a lot of the time, I feel like I can’t get through this. I’m having a hard time being positive and grateful even though I know I should be grateful for the things I have. I had a friend tell me to think about the positives and I wanted to throat punch him. Not in a good place . . .

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

Have you explained this to these people? It took a long time to accept I just could not do things the way other people wanted or needed me to after the death of my father and my nervous breakdown and they needed to accept me for who I was/am now.
You are juggling a lot and I highly doubt you are any kind of garbage. It sounds to me like you have a huge heart and care a lot. Grief is horrid and I can only imagine the death of your father has triggered fear.
You are doing your best
It's raw and it hurts....
I just got through it the best I could and I think I was often like a zombie
DS helped me a great deal through these times … It's when I found DS..... I was able to vent and receive support and that's important
Big hug.... I'm so sorry that your brother is so ill.....xo
I am at the cross cancer Institute with my brother and some other family today. This place triggers me so bad because of my dads cancer and I’m sitting here trying not to cry. I’m trying to keep a brave face for my family.
Losing my brothers was sudden and that hurt because of what I had no time to say.
My husband's cancer mimicked my mother's ten years before each lasting about 11 months from diagnosis.. Then the loss of a core group of friends.
I know that visiting and seeing your brother may be hard for you, because he may have been so much in your life, anything but weak. What he is facing is the hardest he will ever face, don't let pre-grief over it stop you from being there for him.
If visiting is hard to do because of your obligations, video chat and share everything about living with him, You have a defined time to ask his advice and laugh about your adventures. It's easier to know that nothing of love was left unsaid.
My heart.

Then they took us abroad to live in violence, too, in 2 war zones as "missionaries" until in the last country the government had them deported. Even war zones have certain standards that need to be upheld.
So when I went to their home for Christmas in 2010 thinking they'd mellowed since they were in their 70s and got punched in the face again instead, I knew it was over. I came home, worked on a farewell letter for six months with my therapist, and then finally ended contact.
I was contacted last Fall about how one of them passed away, but wasn't told which one. Not knowing complicates my grief, but I did mourn with my therapist when I said goodbye nearly a decade ago now. One thing I mourned was never having peaceful parents.
