Going back to school Monday after this kidney infection week is on my mind today. Exactly one month left in this school year. If I can do 30 more days, I'll make it past another year on the job without going on disability. That will make 4 years since my boss mentioned whether I could do the job or needed to go on disability. Next year I go up for tenure and the possibility of more job security.

YAY! I know, some antibiotics can twig my nerve issues since my injury in 2011---never before, only since, it's annoying! So glad you're feeling a bit better.

I went to the hospital to see my 88 year old friend today on my day off. She fell and broke her arm. She's going to assisted living for a few weeks, but she had a good night's sleep and seemed to be alert and doing ok. Nice lady. Visiting her on my one day off kept me from thinking about my fears about my workplace. Now I go back tomorrow and continue the countdown....

Thanks, Manda. I made a good lesson plan for tomorrow, if I can just keep calm and deliver it. I'm a little fried, I'll admit. So we keep doing the countdown....

Thanks, Doo. Wednesdays are my hard day. I teach all day and then have a 6-9pm night class I teach, too. Whew! It's 4:40pm right now, and I'm ready with a good lesson plan script written for it. But I've gotta suck it up to execute the playbook. Know what I mean?

Another day off the countdown.....

I was hurting in that old familiar way last night after teaching my night class, but I'm feeling better this morning. Hope the new day is good for all my friends here, too.

It's like an Advent calendar, only more fun, y'know? YOu should plan a big treat for yourself at the end---maybe stock up on favorite movies and plan a marathon? Something easy on the body and fun for the mind and soul:-)

Geez. I slept in today and missed a meeting this morning. Yikes. I guess I was just too pooped from the night class I taught last night. Forgot to set my alarm, and I usually set TWO.

Yeah, I think that's a good way to get through this countdown--like counting down the 12 days of Christmas to the Big Day Itself. I'm going to think up some gift for myself. Good idea, Leo.

Wow, NOT feeling good this morning. Thank God it's Friday. Sluggish, feeling not up to challenges today. Whew. Is there something wrong with the fact that my mind has gone right away to ways I'm going to disguise how I feel at work today? I don't feel like I'm sick to take a sick day, but I don't feel up to fielding any pop flies, either. Liable to drop the ball. Yech.

How's everybody else doing?

Ouch, getting run over by a Zamboni in your sleep sounds bad, Leo. That could turn you into frozen roadkill for the day. Whoa. Hope you get through that ok this Friday day. Me, I'm worried my kidney infection's back. I'm feeling weakened, sweaty, feverish, tummy upset--the symptoms of infection. Better than a Zamboni, though. Much support your way getting through that!
