Mom died today...I have been taking care of her for ninety days as she has suffered with stage four lung cancer. She took her last breath with me by her side as my brother and husband were at Mass....all day I am feeling WAVES of PANIC and FEAR...I know it is from my stress and I am also medicated so the BREAKTHROUGH scares me...so I called the doc and took more pills through out the day in order not to end up in the ER having a break down. I am afraid to be alone...so my husband is not leaving the house until I fall asleep. It scares me to think I can have a BREAKTHROUGH, but it is the worst day of my life. Mom and I were like glue...very very close.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I agree, take time to remember the good times with your mom, give those the front burner places, and allow your self time to grieve, on the back burner, using the good memories to help you through the grieving process.
Being there at the end is coming full circle, since you were together at the beginning, during your birth. This is a cherished moment, and I'm glad you had it.

it takes time for emotions to settle once we sort them all out in the beginning it is hard to feel anything or concentrate on anything for any length of time. its ok god is with you now comforting you and guiding you as you walk blindly for a time. It is a new beginning and the road is unfamiliar in time we get use to our surroundings and manage to find a path to move forward. be gentle with yourself and trust that god is with you molding you and shaping you into his wonderful palette.
god bless you and comfort you in the days ahead
