You know Deb we got off so far from target on this one I clearly forgot to ask if your seeing any sort of pain management in the U.K.? I know you all have a vastly different health care system than we do but I would think there would be some sort of specialization in pain care just as there is here. I'm also gonna hit you with one we've discussed or I guess I've discussed with many of the folks on here who are having trouble with getting pain relief from their doctors but happen to live in one of our more progessive states where medical marijuana is legal. Does England have legal medical marijuana and have you considered that course of action with persistant pain? I am unfortunately living in a state where it will get me locked up in the hoosgow if I try that route, but many people around this country and in others find much relief from pain and increased appetite from medicinal use of the little pesky weed. Not too sure about Marujana here. I don't think the authorities do anything if for personal use only if your selling it! I did hear that they are now prescribing it for MS sufferers do will investigate that one. At the moment my pain in the day is tolerable and at night I take tranadol, the UK has pain management centres and as I live in the South East not too far from Lindin I should imagine they will be quite good just with long waiting lists though as the population on this area is quite dense . Keep me posted on the pain pump.

Morning Deb, lol don't know why I say that as I have no idea what time it is there but since I've been up most of the night and it's almost 6am here I guess it just popped out. I wanted to mention the medical marijuana since I had heard from other friends in other countries with national health plans that they could eventually get treatment but sometimes the wait was quite long, and I'm not advocating for the marijuana without considerable research and some information from others who are able to obtain it legally and find it relieves not only the pain but nausea as well as providing a tension relief and appetite increase. I do hope this might be something that could provide a break if nothing else from the pharmacuticals(sp) we are all constantly bombarded with. Here you must live in a state where it has been legalized for medical use but is still illegal under federal law, it dies get convoluted at times but there are several states who have done it properly and with a doctors recommendation a person can obtain it for use and or grow up to a certain number of plants evey year to provide their own medicine. I guess being a child of the 60's I still have alot of that in me and also having grown up on a farm have seen and used many herbal/natural remedies with animals to know it is best when it can be employed. Enough of my soap box. I do hope you have a pain free day and a better night. Troy

With chemicals. Marujana I know definitely helps M S sufferers. What state do you live in? It's intriguing to me that each state can have different rules and laws . I love the state where they put prisoners in pink jumpsuits!

Should have read blighty lol!

I'm in Oklahoma and for some reason they have a truly backward view point when it comes to marijuana. It must seem confusing to alot of folks outside the U.S. with all the different laws for different states and federal law on top of that, seems we have way too many laws and not enough common sense politicans here but it's been that way as long as I've been alive and only seems to become worse with each passing year. I read the other day that just our tax code is several thousand pages long and even the lawyers who work for the tax man don't understand it so what chance the common man? Maybe I just need to move to a deserted island where there are no laws! lol......Troy
