This is my first time posting anything on this site. I was recommended to this site by a friend. Right now I am extremely obese and hate everything about my life. I have absolutely zero motivation to do anything and I mean anything. All I want to do is lay in bed and sleep. I am a wife and mother, so that does not go over well in my household. I have never been this bad before. I just can't seem to find any desire within me to try. I drive my car for a living and I'll be in it for like 6 to 15 hours in a day sometimes. Not really much time or space for exercise. I eat terribly...when you're on the road the easiest route is fast food. It's gotten to the point that nothing sounds good anymore at the fast food places. Everything hurts now when I do anything. I'm out of breath just by walking. I have recently started really looking into surgery but I have to fight through all the insurance stuff to even find out if I can get it done. I'm so tired of all of this. I just want a break and that's not coming anytime soon. Anyone have any ideas on how or where to start to at least get me motivated?

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Starting is good and I recommend devising a plan. Very simple one you can stick too. Change only a few things. When I re start I always start with water. Then add a few healthier snacks. Some people add exercise right away others that's too much. I honestly don't mind exercise but because food is so hard I decided that a my focus till I drop near 30lb. With exercise there is always ways to just add a little like we swim alot in summer, do some hikes, I park further, etc. So that's what I am doing now.
Well not sure if I helped but I hope.
You have a lot of stress in your life. You work A LOT. You've got kids. There's probably stuff going on 24/7. I do understand with your being on the road that much that there really isn't a lot of healthy food options. You are a strong, vibrant woman. Take little steps each day. Maybe walk some places where you usually would drive to. Eat a salad or make healthier food choices when you are out. Maybe pack your lunches and snacks at home and put them in a cooler. Then you would have healthy options with you. I know temptation is so hard but step by step you will feel real proud of yourself. You are not alone. I am really glad you came to this site.
As for weight loss surgery, continue to look into this option. It's not for everybody and it's not a miracle but it's worth researching. This is another subject to discuss with your primary care physician.
I'm sending happy thought your way and hoping you are feeling better soon!
