I agree Sunflower. I was banned from PF as well. That one took a bit longer than the Lisa E Scott site but apparently my posts were not appreciated. When I emailed them on FB to ask why I was banned they stated my posts were triggering to other members and that I was often contradictory. I think the biggest reason I was targeted for removal was because I told a member, who happened to be an admin, that I didn't like her avatar because it reminded me of my ex P as it was a picture of somewhere we traveled together and was an extremely bad experience. I told her it wasn't meant as an insult to her it was just a personal feeling and by no means did I expect her to change it for me. I guess having stated that out loud I somehow got on everyone's bad side. Swarms of members came to her defense as if it was a personal attack and I apologized stating I didn't mean to offend or attack her in any way, however from that moment on I was on their bad list. When I told her that I only stated it as a matter of opinion and as a lead in to what happened to me on that trip. But yeah, have to be very careful what you say there or you'll be banned in no time.

Interesting. I remember they criticised some of my posts for sounding like "I knew it all", the sad thing is a lot of people did say they found my posts useful, it was normal open debate at that point. When they criticised a post I made, that was normal discussion, yes they said others may get upset by it, in private I msg'd it was normal chat, which it was, and joked we're not in a Chinese state, that clearly riled them up and that was that. I was in fact mistaken and they do run their websites much worse than a Chinese state. At least in China the authorities I believe would tell you what you did wrong and speak to you!

Overall, I think both those sites are quite dangerous to use for people who are vulnerable and needing proper support, they are just unprofessional and as with many sites, basically represent "unregulated" practices, a bit like if you get in a night taxi that is an unmarked cab as opposed to a licensed one, the difference really is they portray themselves as experts in this area when they are not.

I was banned from PF also for sticking up for a member who the moderators had decided to jump on. These places are full of men hating, hysterical harpies who think that after reading a few books on the subject of psychopathology, they suddenly become experts in the field.

I saw a fair amount of bullying going on there by the moderators, namely SmittenKitten and Victoria, although I did speak to Peace himself on more than one occasion, and he seemed a nice enough guy.

When dealing with posts on PF, remember that you are dealing with a very messed-up piece of work named Sam Vaklin who is a self-professed NPD and who is actually a psychopath. PF is another site to stay away from like The Plague.

I must say that I find this post to be very validating. When I was first reeling and in chaos because of my relationship I found the site.
Goldie has some good advice, but I agree with her not moderating the conversations. The one good thing that came out of it was a friend or two that I talked to outside.
I also found Hunter to be abrasive and felt she attacked many. I get the "tough love" but I don't think it is the best approach.

I paid and signed up for this website last year. I talked with Goldie, who was great. She was honest, open, and level headed on narcissism. Lisa on the other hand, is not what I would call fair nor about equality. I was banned and my IP was blocked within the first few days of signing up for this site. I expressed my views as being a victim of NPD, and somehow I was blocked. I personally emailed Lisa about this, and she said she was sorry, but good luck to me. How about my money back? A lot of the postings I saw, as well as the media I found on the internet of interviews with Lisa and her opinions, shows that she is a feminist with possible borderline personality disorder. If your a male, do not go anywhere near this website, you will eventually be blocked trust me. If you are a woman with the beliefe that men and women are equal, and men are not totally pigs, don't sign up for this website. This website is more about a site for feminists and borderlines, then it is for victims of the dark triad. Stay away, you will waste your money.

don't go on sites like this your just getting reabused by them. there are many narcissistic people out there running sites, be very careful what you believe. use your instincts.

and don't pay for help there is much free help out there.
