a form of stuttering

I have already come to feel very comfortable with you all in just a short time. You are a very welcoming group. So now I have a question. I have developed a form of stuttering in the last few months that I haven't seen addressed here. It, of course, happens when I am tired. I am not, however, stuttering the first part of the word but the entire weird. As in"Would you please go to the store, store, store, STORE for me? I feel this is an MG presentation, but could also be a side effect of the Keppra I take for migraine prevention. Does anyone else do this?

Yes, I have this problem too.
Exactly as you describe.
I never stuttered before.
I don't know whether it is disease - or drugs.
Maybe it's both?

I don't stutter a word, but when I can't get a word out I say words to sub, My wife said that I repeat that work several times. I think its an atempt to get the word to sound right to me. My problems talking is very flustrating for me.

Oh, Amen to that Will! Word recall is so prevelent with this disease! It sounds like you're doing a version of what I am doing, as well. Do you take anti-siezure medicine by any chance? Word recall is a side effect of most seizure medications. But I want to be able to tell her it's not just the medication, it's this dang disease as well! I don't think she will have any problems agreeing with me (she is well versed with MG), I just wanted to collect some data to present to her as well. Thank you for responding!

Word recall, brain fog & the same stuttering issue you mention Meredith.....I've got them all.

No stuttering or word repetition here (I think....) but do I ever have word finding problems! So frustrating!

I do all of the above too. at lest now I know me is not crazy,,,well maybe a little but thats just me!!!

I think you have to be a little bit crazy to be able to deal with this disease babysnuggs. I can't find it anywhere in the medical books, but I would swear this is one of the symptoms of MG! Or, perhaps, just a requirement!

Yes, when I am not doing very well and MG in a flare, I stutter like that and also have word finding probs.
It was one of the symptoms I had before diagnosed or put an any meds.

My family was convinced I had hd a stroke. Mestinon clears it up most of the time.

Stuttering was a huge issue for me, my tongue would get stuck on sounds like it would freeze in a position.My family also thought it was a stroke symptom.
Now l only get it occasionally and less noticeably, when very tired,l am more likely to have a weak voice now,and not able to produce hard sounds.
Word finding,.....lm at the stage were my family just ask if l meant to say that, scissors ,(is apparently my go to word)when a word alludes me.

Stuttering is not an issue for me but work finding is as is name finding. I cannot remember anyone's name!!

I do not stutter. At least not yet. But I do have the word recall problem. I ordinarily have a very good vocabulary and have no problems using it. But on certain days, I can't seem to recall even the simplest words. I usually have to just give up trying to think of the word and just give a quick definition of the word I am looking for.

When I am very tired my tongue will not work properly and I cannot recallords. Most embarrassing.
