Movement
For over a year, I depended on pills and whatever my dr recommended. I got tired of spending my days slowly deteriorating hopelessly. Saw some videos of people with ms in You Tube of how they spent their days in pain.
I had also seen videos of people recovering from spinal cord injury and how they give their all to walk again.
I could lay in despair depressed about my future or I could give my all.
I decided for the second option.
Funny thing, I just wanted to maintain muscle mass, I never expected to recover so much.
From I could barely walk, im now walking like a kid in their first steps. Im afraid, afraid of letting go of my aids and falling. My daughter holds my hand just like I did for her when she started walking. Im practicing with walking sticks.
Have to regain my confidence and trust myself again.
The days that she notices I haven't exercise, she tells me, get on those pedals! I do.
I know I still have a lot to recover, but everyday im a grain of salt closer to my old self.
During that first year if someone had pushed me to exercise, I wouldn't had been pretty,,, lol. Now im putting myself at risk by telling many,,,, look at me!
I cant work due to all the problems but I decided, I am my job.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

Thank you for sharing.
My physio says that my determination is getting me there more than anything else.
Every little bit helps & you are so right that you need to do some exercise & keep working at it daily to see the gradual results. It can be very hard work for sure.
Keep going & you will get lots stronger in time.
Take care Alma
