I have said I would never take these drugs but I need to get out of bed.

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. On his site, Fuhrman recommends alpha lipoic acid for MS. Probably better, available elsewhere, is R-lipoic acid.
The supplement CoQ10 may help with energy. You could try it and see.
Also the supplement DHEA may help. (Younger people make enough DHEA within their bodies.) It should be taken in the morning.
I understand that adequate vitamin D works to lessen the risk of MS. I don't know whether it reverses it once you already have it. (But it's protective in many other ways.) There's a blood test to see whether you have enough vitamin D. Not all doctors know which blood test is the correct one. If anyone is interested, post here and I'll post again giving the name of the test and the target blood level.
I did take Provigil years ago and now it's a controlled substance. It did make me a bit shaky but I've found that changing my diet helped me nicely. When I exercise, even though it's hard at times, I always feel so much better.
